vent/ aids

i need to vent this morning!!! this morning when i took nathan to school, his

usual aid was sick AGAIN, this has been a problem in the past, she is gone as

much as nathan, if not more. ive argued in the past with the principle about

this, but he didnt have any answers, then today, it was a didfferent aid, but

she has been with nathan a couple of times--- i flat out said to her, " now if

they start switching aid after aid as they did when his oringinal aid was gone

most of two weeks i would not put up with that and would pull him " thats all

there was said i wasnt mean or anything just stated the fact. Anyways about half

an hour later at home i get a call from the principle stating that i was rude

and that all problems need to be brought to him, the aid was all upset, she was

here to hlep nathan out of the kindness of her heart etc, etc,. I told him i was

sorry, but i wasnt mean i just stted the facts, etc, and told him it wasnt just

with one aid change its if they keep switching aids thrughuot the day, and week,

nathan cant handle the nonconsistency, apperntly the aid misunderstood thinking

i was pulling him anytime there was a different aid-- then he said i didnt need

to apologize to her not him, we argued some more befour i ended our

conversation---now after venting and thinking this morning, i will call him

back, and state we want a new aid starting this fall, one that is consistent

with thier work, not sick or home with sick kids practically weekly or

everycouple weeks, He is to have only two aids, or else he can stay home, they

need to call me in the morning so i am prepared and can prepare nathan too--he

usually looks forward to seeing his aid and is thrown off when she is not there.

I also refuse to apologize to this aid, she may be there (some) out of the

kindness of her heart, but she applied for an associate/aid position, and she

gets paid to work with my son, she is NOT a certified teacher, just someone who

likes to work with kids, and teaching area, apparently special needs kids, and

if she cant handle the truth and parents, then she needs to try something else.
