Guest guest
Well, we just got back from 's second round of testing. Big difference. It was much more difficult and he lost attention much faster. At one point he was looking around the room with that " I'm tying up the room in my mind " look. I just said " Don't tie up the room, we'll take a break soon. " The teacher was real aware of his distraction, too. A couple of times she asked if he knew something. I had explained to her that sometimes if he knew something, he figured we knew he knew and were just playing with him. She also noticed him getting tired, so we took a break and will continue on Monday. I may have to get DH to stay home with . I don't want to outwear my welcome (as we say where I'm from) with the lady that volunteered to watch him. So I didn't get any results, but this looked to me like a 1st grade test. Since he's just starting 1st grade curriculum, I think it will be an accurate test. Well, the baby needs me.....which brings me to another point. fell yesterday and hit his head really hard. He was fine, took his nap 3 hours later for the normal amount of time, but woke up cranky and complaining of a headache. I'm just not used to a 20 month old being able to articulate that his head hurts. I called our nurse line and after asking a bunch of questions, gave me detailed instructions on what to do and look for. I was supposed to wake him every 2 hours last night (which I didn't, I just checked on him), until 4am, then every 4 hours until 4pm, and then every 6 hours after that for another 24. So please pray that it's nothing. He's still complaining of a headache, and I may get some ice to put on it. He's on Tylenol. I did ask him if it hurt inside or when I touched it. He said when I touch it, so that's a good sign. Guest guest
nathan hit his forehead a few months ago really hard too, right on the edge/corner of the tv we all heard a " WHACK! " and i thought he might need stictched but it stopped bleeding after a couple minutes with some ice, which he hates, soo was a task, and put some neosporin on the wound, he looked a fright and there still is a small mark, healing very slowly, the docs said he seems fine, no vomitting, eyes are ok, no c/o pain, but nathan doesnt ever c/o of pain, ever, so thats a guess situation. I did give him some tylenol for a few days to be sure. but i know how you feel. shawna. 's testing/prayer request > Well, we just got back from 's second round of testing. Big difference. Guest guest
Y'll be in my prayers. I remember the first time that I went skiing, it was dark outside and near dinner time and I was heading back in to eat dinner with some church friends. I remember that I fell and hit my head hard that I completly lost my appitite. I should have told someone when it happened. I wish you the best. --- hsmyangels@... wrote: > Well, we just got back from 's second round of > testing. Big difference. It was much more > difficult and he lost attention much faster. Guest guest
c/o usually means in care of, like when you mail something to someone who is staying with someone else. Was that in my signature line? I've been ordering a lot of things off of ebay, and I'm having it sent to my mother in law's since I won't be here very long. Guest guest
you mean like a guardian? or foster care, day care, etc? --- hsmyangels@... wrote: > c/o usually means in care of, like when you mail > something to someone who is staying with someone > else. > > Was that in my signature line? > > I've been ordering a lot of things off of ebay, and > I'm having it sent to my mother in law's since I > won't be here very long. > > > Loriann > > Wife to Dewight > Mom to , 10 years, Down Syndrome, PDD-NOS, and > celiac disease > And , 20 months and strong-willed > Both homeschooled > > See my poems on Themestream: > > http://www.themestream.com/gspd_browse/author/view_author_info.gsp?auth_id=97650 > Any earnings will go to charity > > > ------------------------------------------------------------- > Sign up for ICQmail at > http://www.icq.com/icqmail/signup.html > >
Guest guest
I hadn't read enough posts when I responded to you....should teach me. C/O can mean either care of as in you're mailing something by way of someone else. For instance, my Mother in law lives in a small town and the mail man may not deliver it if he doesn't recognise the name as someone living there, so I put c/o ( " in care of " ) and my mother in laws name. Sometimes people abreviate took care of the same way when typing, like all of the other initials on the emails, like lol, and such. We took her to the doc, but we knew it was a concussion even before we took her. She got real sleepy and then threw up a few hours later. I had a concussion once and did the same thing.
