Pet Food Scare

A trace of an illegal rat poison was found in the dog and cat food

that is harming pets right now. This is from an article I read:

I fully expect the FDA to tell pet owners that 40ppm of this known

poison is perfectly safe and their pets were simply genetically

programmed to die of kidney failure from birth. It's Fido's genes,

not the poison. Sorry to sound " ruff. "

" The New York State Food Laboratory found 40 parts per million of

aminopterin in the samples, but were waiting to hear from the

U.S. Food and Drug Administration on how safe that level was

and if it came from the wheat gluten that was previously suspected of

causing illnesses and deaths in pets, Department spokeswoman

Chittenden said at the conference.

FDA spokeswoman Zawisza said it was investigating the finding

by New York authorities and planned to hold a briefing for reporters
