Guest guest
I was recently " fired " from my ped for leaving 40 flyers of various interest in the lobby. They contained information on the FDA Rototeq Alert, mercury in flu shots for pregnant women, and MCV's for children (including, but not limited to the flu shot). There are 5 pediatricians in his practice, all members of the AAP. When I returned to his office two hours later after a chest X-ray for my youngest, Parents and pregnant women were scouring over these strategically placed flyers. I have done this numerous times before and he still has never had the b*lls to confront me, but as I am one the few mothers of two children with autism that argues with him, and the flyers only show up on the day I bring my kids in, I'm sure he has figured it out His reason was, God Forbid, I went to a DAN! and after various tests realized that both of my children have Common Variable Immune Disorder. His ego was tarnished because I couldn't find these answers through him, and because he won't support the fact that they now receive IVIG every 4 weeks. When we first moved here I told him of their test result showing mercury toxicity, and more recently their porphyrin results confirming this and lead toxicity (which we were unaware of previously), his response was that he had never heard of the Labs and coudn't back up what we were doing to treat it. Guest guest
, Don't feel alone, I got fired from our doctor too. lol In this case the doctor was actually a specialist in treating autism and chelation therapy. However, he had a fit when I insisted that some test results be forwarded to me because I didn't want to wait a month for the follow up appt. When I insisted they just said it was against their policy. When I asked to talk to the doctor I was told (by a very rude nurse) that " the doctor doesn't talk to patients over the phone. " I was told that if I really wanted to see the results I could have them and could take them to another doctor to " interpret " for me. Then I really lost it and said some pretty rude things (which I'll admit were out of line). I did write a letter to the head of the clinic to apologize and also outlined how I had been treated so rudely. Never got a response. But seriously, I'm not a moron. It didn't take rocket science to understand what the results were. Esp the way they were laid out and even had commentary from the lab explaining them. But I decided that this was just probably not the right doctor for me. If they can't share test results even knowing that I'm coming back in to go over what they mean and discuss options/treatments then there obviously are either trust or ego issues that I can do without. For now I'm working thru our GP who will at least listen to my opinion. Eichenberger GOSCNA Human Resources Cargill, Inc. Mailstop#20 15407 McGinty Rd.
