kelly reedy,

A recent REVIEW paper, Cannelli JJ, Vieth R,

Umhau JC, Holick MF, Grant WB, Madronich S,

Garland CF, Giovannucci E. Epidemic influenza

and vitamin D. Epidemiol Infect. 2006 Dec;

134(6): 1129-1140, has clearly established

that vitamin D-3, if taken daily in 2,000-

3,000 IU (50 to 75 microgram) quantities

during the annual flu season seems to prevent

people from getting any strain of human

influenza and higher levels can be used to

stop the progression of influenza and cure

it in those diagnosed with human influena.

Perhaps, that would be a better remedy to

stockpile for a human " bird flu " outbreak.

Hope this information helps

Respectfully,

Dr. King

Mercola points out the benefit of sunlight exposure for increasing vitamin D levels naturally (you can take cod liver oil too). 20 minutes of sunlight exposure on naked skin creates a huge amount of Vitamin D (something like 20,000IU).

Oh, that’s why my son likes to strip

down and stand up in the windows of the sun room, for all of the passing

drivers to see on a bright sunny day. I thought he was just an exhibitionist;

instead he’s been getting himself some vitamin D. -

Ha! Ha! Ha! I thought it was just our son!

He stood naked on the window sill of his 2nd floor bedroom and no one

even knocked on our door,
