Guest guest
I took Kaleb to see our Pediatrician on Wednesday. Our Ped siad he had just gotten something from Autism Speaks about GI issues in Autism. He had it in his hand but I figured it was useless and we moved on. When I got home I looked up on the AS website and was pleasantly surprised. It was a letter with a protocol to treating GI problems in kids with Autism. The funny thing is people like Dr Wakefield and Sue Mumpher were on this professional committe who helped develop the protocol per se. The real funny thing is that AS letterhead was used and only Dr Rothymeyer's name was attatched to it. The ironic thing is that this is all the information that I had given to him and obvioulsy did not even bother to look at (He still has my EOH book). I wonder if it would have been put in the trash if he saw Dr Wakefields name on it. So next time people see thier pediatrician print it off and take it with you and ask if they recieved it.
