Guest guest
Three years ago, when asked at TJMaxx/Marshalls to donate money (NAAR Walk), I gave about ten moms an earful about NAAR, Autism, Vaccine, Genetic Studies, then asked for Ted English's phone number (CEO who has a child with autism) so I could educate him on what autism really is. The store manager gave me the number and I left him a voice mail.... no reply of course.Roxp.s. good going - seize those momentsMaurine Meleck <maurine_meleck@...> wrote: (at the check-out counter) Woman: "And would you like to donate one dollar to the march of Dimes." Guest guest
And in Minnesota, the March of Dimes rep only says what the Immunization Action Coalition tells that group to say. In 2006 the March of Dimes rep testified against our state's bill to limit mercury in vaccines. Sound bite after inaccurate sound bite. Misinformation proliferates because it's bureaucratically expedient. - Hokkanen > > (at the check-out counter) > Woman: " And would you like to donate one dollar to the march of Dimes. Guest guest
March of Dimes advocating to continue exposing children and fetuses to mercury is a travesty. Does anyone from Minnesota have a copy of the testimoney they presented in opposition to your bill? I have foun mentions of their stance in a newsletter and on thre Minnesota House website. They need to be reminded why people give them money, and what is an appropriate use of that money. Thi si an appropriate issue for an ACHAMP action alert. > > > > (at the check-out counter) > > Woman: " And would you like to donate one dollar to the march of > Dimes. Guest guest
Pretty pathetic, though I’m not surprised. MOD here in Maine wouldn’t even support a bill 9 years ago to increase the tobacco tax, which always results in reduced smoking rates, especially among teens and young adults. They didn’t want to offend their smoking walkers even though smoking is probably the biggest factor associated with premature birth. Data I got from the Maine CDC for a grant a few years back showed that 2/3 of the premature births here in Maine were to women who smoked during the pregnancy. Less than 20% of all pregnant women smoked during their pregnancies though. My ASD son was a preemie, and I don’t smoke and never have. I just got loaded up with the Hep B series, MMR, and a Td over an 8 month period before he was conceived thanks to the infection control nurse at the hospital I worked at. It would be interesting to know the factors involved in the other 1/3 who had preemies. Guest guest
The Trader Joe's people give my son free stuff when I say things like that to them! Re: Re: conversation with K-Mart employee hi.. the other week... kids from the penn state campus of york.. was collecting AGAIN for kids with cancer... as they sided up to me.. I put down my window and proceeded to lecture the kid about how they should concentrate on the autism epidemic and raise money for the awareness that mercury causes autism and how when he gets married and starts a family.. not to have his child vaccinated or get the flu shot with thimerosol.. you should have seen his face. peace, Lia See what's free at AOL.com.
