Guest guest
According to a NJ Autism organization this decline in MR explains the rise in autism (NO SHIT). They feel that autism has gone up as the same rate that Down Syndrome and MR has gone down. It (according to them) isn’t about abortion – it is about misdiagnosis. NJ and You – Autistic Together. Guest guest
This " diagnostic substitution " theory has been discredited. In fact a study making the diagnostic substitution argument was retracted several years ago by the authors in the face of a critique by Baskin, Blaxill & Spitzer. Guest guest
Bob, I don't receive attachments - I read messages directly from the board. Is there some way you could post this in the EOH files section? Thanks., > > > According to a NJ Autism organization this decline in MR explains the > > rise in autism (NO SHIT). They feel that autism has gone up as the > > same rate that Down Syndrome and MR has gone down. It (according to > > them) isn’t about abortion †" it is about misdiagnosis. > > > >  > > > > NJ and You †" Autistic Together. (thanks H) > > > >  > > > > Jenn > > > >  > > > > > > From: EOHarm [mailto:EOHarm ] On Behalf > > Of Dad Fourkids > > Sent: Tuesday, February 20, 2007 2:15 PM > > EOHarm > > Subject: [sPAM] Re: SARRC launches Phase II of Autism Genome > > Project > > > >  > > > > I am sorry to pollute this list with unecessary > > politics, but Lenny's recent editorial has pointed out > > that Down Syndrome (a genetic problem) is indeed being > > cured, 90%down from years past. > > > > __________________________________________________________ > > Food fight?
