Guest guest
Hi everyone..... Bye Dimitius and good luck!! I am having a lot of pain in my right foot its mostly o the top part over the arch it burnsand there is searing pain at times feels like a little bone is broken but yet I don't think so because its not that bad all the time just at times. I have a Drs. app. the 15th of Aug to have it checked out and also see if the reflexes are still stonger in that side...if they are do you all think there is a possibility that the pain may mean there may be regeneration of the nerves? I know he old me back in January that I had better reflex in the right side and that he had neverseen that in a CMT patient before......GEE maybe I will be a first!! LOL!! If they could just get rid of the damn pain!!

Guest guest
Hannah and everyone, I also had " upped " the dosage of the ProEFA last year after I saw the great progress. When the case reports on the ProEFA were due in to Dr. Katz I was worried that they would not make it in time going through the mail -so I called his office to see if it was ok to fax them. I spoke to the secretary(?) and he put me on hold and a man got back on the phone to answer my fax question. It was Dr. Katz and I did not know it and when I finally figured it out(DAH) I felt like I was talking to a celebrity---I guess I was---and I sounded like an idiot as I was completely taken off guard. da da da .You cannot even get a regular pediatrician to get on the phone these days...anyway Dr. Katz told me to back it down to one...now with the reports etc. I don't really know what Dr. Katz would say.....but I just thought that I would share that info......also, if Dr. Katz reads this I would like to ask if the ProEFA helps with the P and B sounds because poop and boob were also like the first words after our " fish pills " kicked in...or is it just a boy thing!!!!!!! LOL and no I don't expect Dr. Katz to answer that silly question....... Kathy
Guest guest
Ann -- Celebrate each and every loss! You're doing great! Pick up a tape measure and see how your body is changing -- don't always rely on the scale. Not strangling hubby is a good thing, lol. It probably would count as strength training, but you'd miss him in the end. Candace -- Sorry about your gain. You do have the right attitude though and I know you can do it! Hang in there! Sue -- Healing vibes heading your way. Hugs! Sorry about your gain. -- How are things in your part of SC? PTA meeting tonight here. :-) Ok, for ideas on snacks & lunches at work. Fruit and those bars are a good idea. Take some veggies, too -- carrots, grape or cherry tomatoes, veggies that are easy to carry and quick to munch on. How about taking a quick walk at lunch & eating afterward. To make up for the days I don't get as much exercise as I feel I need, I march in place while cooking. The kids & hubby think it's silly, but I feel like I'm doing two things at once. You can do this! You're doing great already! - Hey girlie! How have you been? I miss chatting with you. :-) How are the Walden Farms dressings? Ladies, I was so bad last night. I binged on bread. I had garlic toast with dinner and more plain toast while watching tv with hubby and even more bread before I went to bed. I felt like I was starving and only starches satisfied me. I felt icky when I woke up today but walked it away with & co, lol. I've been really good today (oatmeal & fruit smoothie for breakfast, 6 " veggie sub from Subway for lunch, & V8 as a snack). Well, it's PTA Open House night so dinner's going to be quick -- leftovers, yum. LOL. I have lots of veggies cut and ready to grab and plan to saute the onions & peppers for veggie fajitas. Rice, beans, & salsa round out the menu. The kids are being too quiet so I'm going to go. Catch you later. :-) BB! Guest guest
Hi Pete, I'm sure you're swamped with e-mails after your weeks on the road, and I imagine your are working your way toward mine (re the problems with the training manual instructions for 2.0 assessment set-up). In the meantime, could you please forward a copy (if it's an e-mail) of the help you provided to Jane? I believe she has 2.0 also so you may have answered some of my questions in your help to her. If for some reason you can't find my e-mail (I sent it to your name address) let me know and I'll resend it. Many thanks, Martha Martha S. Guest guest
Once again, there are two issues with using 2.0 for assessment data-gathering: 1. The format of the data files, in terms of column structure, is different in 2.0 from 1.9A. You must use the TLC Assess 2.0 version to bring the data into the spreadsheet, or you will end up with data in the wrong columns. There are versions in the files section of the list-server for 2.0 and 2.0XP (for those using "Office XP"--not Windows XP). 2. The format of the data files in terms of type of Excel file output is also different. The TLC Assess will only see "tab-delimited" text files, as put out by 1.9A, NOT "comma-delimited" text files as put out by 2.0. Tom says he will have 2.0 output both forms (or at least give us the option of choosing between them) in a Fall update of 2.0. For now, however, if you want to use 2.0 for assessments, you must go into Excel and open each individual xlf file you will use in the assessment then Save As... the same file name but change the file type to Tab-Delimited Text. Once this has been done, you'll be able to see the files when you run the assessment macro in TLC Assess. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Hi Pete, Yes, downloading the 2.0 assessment program for use with my BrainMaster 2.0 certainly did help! I knew there had to be an easier way than manually deleting fields to get the data into the right files. : ) However, I am still puzzled about the way you are having us define the frequency bands for 2.0. For example: a) Why are we defining HiBeta as 23-38 instead of 23-32? I remember your saying that HiBeta looks higher in 2.0 than 1.9? Wouldn't inlcuding 33-38 Hz do that? Why are we defining Gamma as 8-10 Hz? The corresponding column (N) in the Process page of the assessment report is called "Total" but it looks more like low alpha. c) Why is the User Defined frequency band 3-38? The report calls this column (O) HiAlpha, but it sure looks more like 3-38 Hz. I don't use Excel, so I may be missing something, but things don't look right. Even if I ignore the Gamma and User Defined freq bands, I'm concerned that things like the percent HiAlpha and peak alpha frequency and findings based on HiBeta may still be based on values from 1.9. When you get some time, could you look into this? Thanks in advance... : ) I really appreciate all your hard work on this program. Martha Martha S.
