Interesting headline...

Free child shots, mercury event are scheduled

http://tinyurl.com/3b6952

In conjunction with National Public Health Week April 2 through 8, the

Ross County Health District will be offering free immunizations to

children 2 and younger.

Immunizations will be given through the Nurse-of-the-Day Clinic, from 8

a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.

On April 3, the district will conduct a mercury collection day.

The collection will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the

south end of the Ross County Service Center, 475 Western Ave.

Those who bring in a mercury-filled thermometer can exchange it for a

new, digital thermometer.

Someone has to go and bring vaccines and eye drops with thimerosal

and try to exchange them. I wish I lived in Ohio.

2 things:

1. people should show up on the vax day proclaiming that they are there for the mercury event

2. under 2? I guess that means if you are over two you dont need childhood vaccines anymore??

--seriously, I was looking at Louisiana's laws since we are moving there, and was very interested to see their first time shot recommedations for those who are behind... FIRST, if they are like 2, I kid you not you get so many shots in one day that I seriously think a lot of kids will die from these suggestion (or, um.. I mean die from " Unexplained Childhood Death "

and SECOND, if they are over seven it takes away MOST of the shots... which leaves a lot for us to ponder..

let me find those links.... Here we go:

http://www.dhh.louisiana.gov/offices/publications/pubs-265/2007%20Imm%20Sch.pdf

notice its 4 mo to 7 years and you get all those shots and then come back 4 WEEKS later... so in 8 weeks time you get all your doses of everything...
