Here is an opportunity to take our country back. I came across this- this morning:February 26, 2007 by the Boston Globe Taking Back the FDAby Marcia Angell, who is now a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She stepped down as Editor-in-Chief of the New England Journal of Medicine on June 30, 2000. A graduate of Boston University School of Medicine, she trained in both internal medicine and anatomic pathology and is a board-certified pathologist. She joined the editorial staff of the New England Journal of Medicine in 1979, became Executive Editor in 1988, and Editor-in-Chief in 1999.

For those of you who haven't had the opportunity to read her book, I highly recommend Dr. Marcia Angell's expose, "The Truth About the Drug Companies". It's a well written and well documented explanation of the "ethical" drug trade.

I think it explains a lot about the mess our health care system is in. The ideal of health care has been hijacked by healthy profits.
