Guest guest
, Sorry this Leitch has attacked you, he is truly to be pitied. Isn't there any way to get a slander lawsuit filed against this guy? I am posting this here because he has repeatedly DELETED my response. See below. He likes re-writing history I guess. He should go to work for American television because he's sooooooo good at manipulating and deleting the facts to alter reality.... Read on:********************from 's blog:Awhile ago, I wrote a post the detailed the disturbing links betweenthe DAN! movement and scientology. It transpired that scientology –being a movement that is big on non psychiatric modes of treatments isa good fit for DAN! adherents. Both value detoxification for a rangeof things and it seems Scientologists have not been slow to ingratiatethemselves into the DAN! movement. So far, I've identified threeScientologists who are also DAN! Doctors. One of them was involved inthe death of a parent of a schizophrenic man in 2002.One of the darlings of the autism/vaccine movement is Berlewho's son, Baxter, was used in a Generation Rescue advert. Ms Berle isa frequent poster to various autism/vaccine groups. Her signaturereads;, mom to Baxter, recovered in 2005, Founding Parent of Generation RescueAs mum to a recovered child, Ms Berle's opinion is sought in manyplaces and she never stints from dispensing the advice she got far andwide.Baxter Berle was diagnosed (it seems) by Scientologists. If I may quote myself:Baxter Berle attended a school called 'The Learning Castle' which isan elementary 'feeder' school for the Renaissance Academy with whichit shares a campus (there seem to be about seven separate units oncampus all feeding the Renaissance Academy). Here's a little bit ofinformation about the Director of the Renaissance Academy, Ann Hazen;Renaissance Academy is truly bringing education back to life throughthe use of a full academic program, athletics, the Arts, a warm andcaring staff coupled with the brilliant study and educationalphilosophies of humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard.Yup, they're Scientologists too.So Scientologists had a big say in the diagnosis of Baxter Berle. Whatabout his recovery? Guest guest
, Sorry that you had to made a blog entry for Leitch. This guy has repeatedly made a point to say that his daughter is off-limits for him to discuss. He won't talk of her yet feels that it is ok to drag other children into his childish games? I find one postitive thing about this. Clearly, Mr. Leitch is desperate. It is very obvious that these sort of " mini-conspiracy " theories are all he's got (I thought that WE were supposed to be conspiracy theorists). Guess what, Kev? I brought my child to a DAN! doctor and I think that she might be Catholic. She actually believes that Jesus walked on water. She also believes that Jesus rose from the dead? Can you believe that? Then, guess what? I almost fell for it when she told me about a good Catholic elementary school down the street from where I live? Thank goodness I had more sense than to fall for that. Guest guest
Don't you mean " libel? " Is it worth it? We're talking about an ineffective, fringe minority of irrational (and possibly mentally ill) people. There are so many more of us than there are of them. Our time is better spent raising money for research, lobbying our politicians and educating other parents and our children's doctors. While we're out in the world doing all that, they're sitting at their computers bitching about us. Who could take that seriously?

Guest guest
, Baxter's story is an inspiration to all of us. The effort to smear you by wrongly associating you with an easy to attack group - like Scientologists - is contemptible, and is tantamount to slander. This is typical of those who for irrational or hidden reasons want to block our efforts to heal our children. Thank you for fighting back against this kind of lowball attack. You and Baxter deserve only praise for bringing your story of recovery to all who are open-minded enough to listen. With admiration, Bob K. Guest guest
Hey I know you are a lurker here: So if my son was diagnosed by a Jew, and had the diagnosis confirmed by a Jew, had speech therapy performed by a Jew, and was recovered by a Jew following the DAN! protocol, which of-course was started by a Jew, then the DAN! Movement, must also be a Jewish conspiracy out to wreck your daughter's very autistic future? Right? , I researched the origin of your surname. The history of the name Leitch dates back to the ancient Anglo-Saxon culture of Britain. It is derived from a member of the family who worked as a doctor. Throughout the Middle Ages, doctors were known as 'leaches " as the practice of bleeding sick people was the gemerally accepted manner of curing them. There are countless people who died in the Middle Ages who died thanks to the common cold; not because the virus killed them, but because they bled to death non the advice of their physicians. Bleeding was accomplished by placing a dozen or so leaches on the person who was ill so that they could remove the poisons that were making them ill. Seems to me that you are doing an great job of upholding your family tradition. Charlie

Guest guest
is a little dad hiding in England somewhere scared to death that his theory that autism has always been with us is unraveling. He has put his words in the public domain, and they will most certainly come back to haunt him. The two most threatening things an ND can never believe are: 1. We are having a real rise in autism cases 2. Children are recovering from autism and going on to live normal lives I'm confident and the approximately six people who post on his blog under multiple fake names have seen the video of Baxter where he is obviously a normal kid. So, their only hope to keep their make believe world alive is to say that Baxter was misdiagnosed or there is something more nefarious going on... It's profoundly hypocritical that guards talking about his own daughter (which I applaud), while calling out other people and their children. This guy is a complete immoral scumbag, most of his followers have ASD labels themselves, and he is a waste of all of our time. More importantly, I have never heard of anyone who he has actually convinced that autism is God-given and should not be cured, so he serves solely as an annoyance, like a gnat in one's ear. Guest guest
, if it makes you feel better, I had no idea you were part of Generation Rescue or your son was in ad, nor would I care. Secondly, this guy shows what an idiot he is because of using one's religion as equating to their professional practice. Does this mean a Church of Christ doctor who does a heart transplant does so because he was baptized to receive The Spirit? Does this mean a Catholic is able to design building not because of her architectural training but because she said 10 Hail s? He's an idiot. I know how you feel. Someone posted a nasty post to my blog, claiming to be a parent from my kids' school, calling Allie Helen Keller and a bunch of other nasty stuff. Of course, the details of the posting make it clear this person has a connection to the school system, but I won't go into it here. Respond when you need to to make yourself feel better, then accept there are just some stupid people in this world. Debi > > I know I know. Guest guest
It is so sad that Leitch would attack such a good-hearted advocate and mother as Berle. We had and her recovered son Baxter speak at our conference last April and they were an inspiration to hundreds of parents. is not only dishonest, but desperate. I think he finds joy in making other people upset because it distracts him from the reality of his own life. please know that what says is meaningless. Let him spew garbage all day long. WE know the truth. YOU know the truth. Anyone who has heard your story knows that Baxter is where he is today (happy & healthy) because you would not accept his dx and fought for his services and treatments. His latest post is so outrageous, it’s borderline comedy. I guess when truth doesn’t serve his purpose, he just makes things up. If he is looking for a “set up” he should look no further than his own, sad reflection. On 3/13/07 1:15 PM, " djberle " <dberle@...> wrote: I know I know. I shouldnt even engage these folks...BUT. Baxter and I were mentioned on a recent blog of Leitch. JB and Barry and others would probably tell me to not even respond but, come on....Scientology is the best they can come up with for Baxter's situation? Crazy stuff! I am posting this here because he has repeatedly DELETED my response. See below. He likes re-writing history I guess. He should go to work for American television because he's sooooooo good at manipulating and deleting the facts to alter reality.... Read on: ******************** from 's blog: Awhile ago, I wrote a post the detailed the disturbing links between the DAN! movement and scientology. It transpired that scientology ˆ being a movement that is big on non psychiatric modes of treatments is a good fit for DAN! adherents. Both value detoxification for a range of things and it seems Scientologists have not been slow to ingratiate themselves into the DAN! movement. So far, I've identified three Scientologists who are also DAN! Doctors. One of them was involved in the death of a parent of a schizophrenic man in 2002. One of the darlings of the autism/vaccine movement is Berle who's son, Baxter, was used in a Generation Rescue advert. Ms Berle is a frequent poster to various autism/vaccine groups. Her signature reads; , mom to Baxter, recovered in 2005, Founding Parent of Generation Rescue As mum to a recovered child, Ms Berle's opinion is sought in many places and she never stints from dispensing the advice she got far and wide. Baxter Berle was diagnosed (it seems) by Scientologists. If I may quote myself: Baxter Berle attended a school called 'The Learning Castle' which is an elementary 'feeder' school for the Renaissance Academy with which it shares a campus (there seem to be about seven separate units on campus all feeding the Renaissance Academy). Here's a little bit of information about the Director of the Renaissance Academy, Ann Hazen; Renaissance Academy is truly bringing education back to life through the use of a full academic program, athletics, the Arts, a warm and caring staff coupled with the brilliant study and educational philosophies of humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard. Yup, they're Scientologists too. So Scientologists had a big say in the diagnosis of Baxter Berle. What about his recovery? I was recently forwarded this email by a member of a autism/vaccine group Ms Berle is also a member of: ˜- begins˜- Re: Opinion of Dr. Mullan ? First off the two doctors you referred to in your post treated Baxter AFTER he was diagnosed from 5 other sources (3 developmental pediatricians, 1 regional Center and 1 school district∑.I know nada of their religious affiliations. For any of them). The doctors you mentioned were not involved at all in his diagnosis at all. I merely went to them for treatment. Guest guest
Hey guys, Thanks for all the replies. I find it interesting that now 2 out of three of my orignal posts are now back(after posting on EOH) his board. thanks to I took pics of it on there...then off then on again then on again. Ugh. Who cares. I'm uncertain why the need to attack. I dont understand this aspect of human nature. They go after JB and say his son is not " out there " (but of course neither is 's daughter) but then you put your kid out there, so-to-speak and thats fuel for fire as well. So interesting that Bax has been evaluated by tons of professionals with tons of tests and they (kevins pals) still say he's autistic. Hmmm. ok. this from 3 minutes of video? I invite any of them to come meet him. come hang with him. We have an extra bedroom. Come play chess, read, do math , play ball jump on the trampoline, have a sleep over with pals, laugh, snuggle.... what is their definition of a non-autistic kid? Maybe we're ALL autistic. So my kid is into Star Wars...other NT kids arent? He also likes track and field, music and sledding. Oh..and girls and crosswords and his bunny rabbits and Spongebob and gymnastics. I'm certain these are all autistic endeavors as well. Sheesh. I guess its easier to show anger than sadness. Baxman- this is for you... I am proud of you. I believe in you and nothing anyone says...especially from 6,000 miles away, never having met you will diminish your importance and beauty. You have altered lives and will continue to do so with your very being. I love you. Your dad loves you. You rule. Thanks for being such an incredible big brother to P and E. The day I met you my world forever changed. Love you Dude. your mom > > Hey there, > > We used Dr. Mullan to recover Baxter. Guest guest
, My college degree is in Speech Language Pathology. Have a dual undergrad degree in SLP and Special Education. A Graduate degree in Interpreting for the Deaf (Nationally certified interpreter)./ those credentials revealed: Prosody in general refers to the intonation and tone of spoken speech. What's-his-face-didnt like Baxter's prosody in front of 1,000 people at the DAN conference and the Dateline cameras etc... Again. I INVITE him (her???) to come and evaluate him. I'll film it for all to see. His prosody is fine. He is in second grade and spends a great deal of time in the 4th grade classroom where the teacher tells me he is the best (aloud) reader she has ever heard. Paraphrasing her: " He gives every character a voice....all questions have the right inflection..I could listen to him read all day. " Come meet my kid. Stop maligning him when you havent met him. Come meet him. Come meet him. come meet him. Baxter's mom getting prouder by the second
