I'm not sure this will interest you but I remember reading on Dr

Mercola's site that a brazil nut a day has enough sélinium? to

crystalized mercury in the body so it doesn,t do any harm. he said

researches found this out when they discovered that whales who had

mercury in their bodies had the mercury crystalized in their systems.

I can't remember the rest or if this is all exact.

Maybe someone else read this and can clairify.

Because getting fillings taken out cost a lot and doesn't garantee any

positive results and must be done with precauctions I take a barzil

nut a day to take care of the fillings and have the other kind of

filling without mercury put in whenever I need a tooth filled.

My dentist charges $100-300 per tooth depending on the size of

filling. Seems high cost. Someone I know in Oregon said in

Washington there is an experienced dentist that charges $45. If you

are near there, I can get the dentist name for you. Might be worth

flying there. I'm in NC so Wash. is way over there for me. I want

mine out and my sis had one out recently and said isn't no fun and

your bite feels off some after a new filling is put in. She has

insurances so I'm not sure what her dentist charged but she is lucky

they will pay for it 80/20.

That is interesting. I use to eat Brazil nuts for the selenium and

will go get some more. My dad tho broke a tooth eating them,

unshelled of course. It can be more dangerous to have the mercury

fillings removed if not done properly. My dad had some removed and

he said he swallowed some of the fillings and strangely ended up

with a strange lung disease and he does not smoke. Tho there is

tons of pollution out there but still ironic the lung disease

happened soon after. Most experienced dentist use a dam and plug

you nose, his did not! Still not sure how you breath thru it all.

My sis said is wasn't easy. I still can't believe they put the

poison still in our mouths!! Makes me so mad I can't stand it!!!!!

For what its worth; I had my mercury taken out over 1 year ago and

still progressed. Although " they " say if they arent taken out properly

the mercury can leak even more into your system. There could also be a

buildup of the stuff in your body already. Who knows...I thought it

was worth it and my dental coverage paid for it!

As my Doctor says (and he prescribes me my LDN) "if mercury in fillings caused M.S. then with my mouth full of them I should be incapacitated"yah he has a lot.

But still I believe if you get them out and don't do chelation to rid your body of the toxins that caused the M.S. i.e. heavy metals such as lead, chlorine, all the free radficals etc. you are only doing half a job! As a diesel mechanic I was in some pretty bad stuff over the years so I was overloaded with toxins.

Me I can only afford a filling removal once a year but I am still doing the chelation as my irridologist reccomended with herbs and vitamins.

Just trying to stop it from getting worse.

Hi Zora I'll betcha it's a lot nicer there than here with our 25 below and snow. Also our sun sets at four and gets up at nine.

Well it's quite a long list of stuff but most comes in about six different bottles.

Like first thing in the morning I take a kind of hydrogen peroxide ten drops in a glass of real orange juice into which I have placed one and a half ounces of aloe vera juice. Then a tablespoon of Udo's beyond Greens gets mixed in with a spoonfull of "Super C"

I use this mix to swallow three "Experience" which are caps with rhubarb root fennel seed and some others too numerous to mention.Experience is like a colon cleanser.

Then a black walnut and redclover mix with cats claw and the majic ingredient Slippery Elm.Then from A.O.R a pill called "Network Synergy" wich rounds out my selenium co enzymeQ10 etcetera .

After taking all these pills every morning and I drink water constantly all day. I don't feel like eating breakfast or snacking even I also cut out my coffee and wheat except for one meal a day which will be real quick now I will have a pizza for supper.

So far I feel great and in the last month have lost ten pounds and got my blood pressure to an average 120/90 on the last test and my blood sugar down to 6.5 which for me is almost good enuf to write home about.

I hope this doesn't scare you off but I think everyone should do this.

Thank you.

There seems to be evidence there is a genetic predisposition to MS.

If that is true, maybe your doctor does not have the genetic make-up

for the amalgam to trigger MS. I have also had exposure to lots of

toxins. It does seem logical, when I have to replace a defective

amalgum filling anyway, I should have it done with composite rather

than add more mercury.

I am in Wilmington, NC, so flying to Washington for amalgam removal

is not too practical, especially since the procedure calls for

replacing no more than two per visit. Thanks for providing some cost

informaton.

My dentist did not charge extra, did use rubber dams, mega suction, and I saw no reaction from the procedures. I had all my amalgams replaced over a period of two years. In the past when I've had amalgams removed I could smell the material as it was removed. This dentist had excellent control of vapors and I smelled nothing. Nor did I swallow anything during the procedures. However, I also didn't feel any better afterward other than the peace of mind in having gotten a lot of poison out of my mouth.

I don't know what we may have missed in the procedures, but I do know my dentist was very careful to protect all of us from the mercury vapors. I believe they are the greatest hazard.

There is info on the web regarding supplements to help your body get rid of any mercury that is freed during the process. Best of luck, it has to be a step in the right direction regardless of whether you actually see positive changes afterward...

I asked him the last time, and the time before, and the time before that, too. He insists that they're fine.

The mercury in thermometers is liquid and available, the mercury in amalgam is bound which creates a different compound.

I have fillings from decades ago. And after 600+ days on LDN, I don't feel any need to have any more work done on my mouth than necessary. Why disturb what's there.

Everyone has to make their own choices, and live or die with them.

I don't know, I don't take many supplements. I have all sorts of vitamin bottles around, but take them infrequently.

As for your hands being numb, do you ever go to chiropractors? I go all the time, I don't think LDN would be working as well for me if not for my chiros.

Re: Amalgam removal: I met a wonderful environmental dentist in Miami. He was

one of the least expensive that I have spoken to [steve Greene, DDS]. Dr.

Greene is an environmental dentist who works as a team with Dr. Perlmutter [sp?]

who is a neurologist and author of the book, " The Tooth Truth " . When motor

neuron disease is present, it makes more sense to have a team effort.

Dear All,

I've never posted here before but with all the talk of amlagam removal I thought you might be interested in this recent study from the University of Calgary titled "How Mercury causes Brain Neuron Degeneration"

http://commons.ucalgary.ca/mercury/

Incidentally it's not only the mercury in your mouth you should be worried about (very!) but there is also a lot of evidence to suggest that Root-Canals are quite capable of causing and contributing to a number of serious illnesses. No other branch of medicine advocates leaving dead tissue attached to the body, which is precisely what happens with a root-canal.

Anyway I guess we all have to make our own decisions about these things but I think it's best to be as informed as possible.

All the best

I had amalgam removed about 15 years ago, then there was no protocol how to do it, so it was just done, my amalgam fillings were replaced with ceramic and that was that.

My teeth on the whole are not good and my dentist and I agreed that I would be better of without them, but he doesn't extract teeth, so he sent me to the dental hospital where the doctor categorically refused to do it................I know I would be health wise better of without my teeth...but I cannot find dentist who will do it in this small country. So sometimes we make our own decisions about a lot of things, but society dictates otherwise.
