Guest guest
Hey a new part of the ASD : Dystemperature. Elie doesn't notice cold unless it is below 40 degrees. At precisely forty, he says he is cold and asks for a jacket. Above that he REFUSES a jacket. And no gloves or hat unless the wind chill is below what I would let him out. Guest guest
does nt seem to feel cold, but he does nt respond to heat either when he was smaller he put his finger on the cooker and did nt react until it was actually burnt,I think it goes with the poor response to pain many autistic kids have, add that to the fact that many DS kids have poor body temperature control,Colin would like to wear shorts all year and takes his shirt off as soon as he gets in,when they were small I tied hats round their necks and had mitts dangling from their sleeves to shut up all the old dears who tutted because they did nt have them on Pat

Guest guest
feels cold easily as well. His hands and feet are almost always cold, even when the weather is warm. In the cold weather his hands and feet lose color a lot and even turn blue. He also doesn't sweat, but he is very sensitive to heat. Terry Mom to , 13 yrs. Guest guest
didn't start sweating until he was about 8 years old, maybe 7. I don't remember him sweating before that, because I remember worrying about him overheating as sweating is the body's way of cooling down. As far as cold, I have no idea, but I guess I'll find out soon. It's been so long since we were in cold weather.
