A *new* one for the list of glitches...

Well, I thought I'd seen just about everything.

They hired an Ed Asst. for Andy. Some guy named " Max. " I went up to the

school with Andy Tuesday to meet him, but they said he was at an autism

training. I called this morning (the first day of school) to see when would

be a good time to come up and meet " Max. " Max didn't show up to school

today. They were calling around looking for him. I finally went with Andy

up to school for about 90 minutes. We tried out his new scissors and made a

flower, went down to his room to hear a story. Then we left for lunch.

Later I called the school to tell them my plans for the next few days (to

go up and take charge of the classroom situation). I was then told that Max

wouldn't be joining us this year (do you think maybe he didn't exist?).

The sped teacher told me the woman in charge was in the background telling

the secretary to " tell her it's #1 priority and we're getting right on it! "

Great.

Meanwhile, I made an appt with the new director of special education for

Friday, Sept 15.

What fun.

When is it that Andy gets a good year??
