Guest guest
Hi Sorry, but my son has had no similarities with your experience. My pregnancy was uneventful, and Dominick was born one week late by normal vaginal birth, on his own (not induced). We had no problems with colic or feeding. He was a much better nurser from the get go than his sister was. He is larger than his sister, as well, generally in the 50-60th percentile for weight, and 90th for height (his sister was generally in the 10th for weight, and 50th for height). And he has hit all his motor milestones earlier than her, and is speaking more than she was at the same age. (She does not have ). With the exception of these cyclical fevers, he is having a great toddlerhood. I continue to try to make sense of why our children have these fevers, and I can't figure it out based on my experiences. I'm hoping the medical community continues research in this area so we can find a cause and hopefully a more effective treatment regimen. My son is in the middle of an episode right now, only 19 days after being diagnosed and trying prednisone. This time I am not using prednisone. I struggle with his suffering and using the medication, but I don't want the fevers more often, either. Does anyone have suggestions on when prednisone should be used? Mother to Dominick (17 mos)

Guest guest
A note to go along with the theme of prematurity etc... In all the surveys as well as myself following hundreds of children with ... (over 600 at this point) there is NO link with prematurity. The majority of children diagnosed with have been born uneventfully. God Bless Fran Hi Sorry, but my son has had no similarities with your experience.
