Guest guest
Hi - I introduced myself about a week ago and have since formally been given a diagnosis of for my son. is now 2 1/2 and we've been dealing with fevers since April. Last week, both our pediatrician (a personal friend of ours and someone I trust wholely with our son's life) and an infectious disease doctor gave a tentative diagnosis of for . He gets fevers and tonsilitis with his episodes. Blood was drawn last week and showed a high sedementation rate - I don't know the exact rate. The infectious disease dr ordered a re-test of it and it also came back high. My pediatrician called tonight to let me know that this pretty much confirms the diagnosis of . Have you encountered this similar path in your diagnosis? Is the sed rate usually high among our kids? My husband is sceptical that it may indicate something else is wrong - we're not medically inclined at all and are trying to determine why this high rate points to and not perhaps something more serious. Just wondered if this is a typical method of diagnosing this syndrome. Thanks so much - mom to 2.5 and Katelyn
