How long for results?

Hey Fran,

Jay Here. I was curious how long it takes for the FMF testing to come back?

I had Mathieu's done somewhere around the middle of May and they are still

not back. It has been nearly 9 weeks now.

I have called the clinic a few times. The nurse is getting irritated with

me. She has called to inquire about the tests and they are still not

completed yet. I understand that it is a DNA test. Do they have an

indicator test prior to the DNA testing to determine if a child may be a

candidate for one of the fever disorders? That was how they tested Mathieu

for Crohn's with the Company. They did an indicator first on the blood and

then when it came back positive, they did a more extensive test on the blood

to determine if he had UC or CD.

Everytime we have a test done, they seem to come back with something.

After having the Crohn's tests and his poor eyesight; I really don't want

anymnore bad news.

I am getting myself all worked up for nothing.
