Guest guest
Good Morning, My name is Toni Hoffmann. My son Dylan is 11-1/2 and has suffered with since he is 2. He was diagnosed when he was 4. My pediatrician thought I was a nervous mom. He siad Dylan was sick so much because he was in daycare. I went to another dr. and insisted he be tested. We went to a Rheumatologist at Snyder Children's Hospital in New York. Amazingly the day of our appointment Dylan was starting a fever cycle. It was called FAPA at the time. Not sure when the P was added. Cimiditine did not make a difference. We have always hoped that age and possibly puberty would make a difference. Surprise August 2003 was Dylan's last fever.... until June 2004 & July 2004 it was back. Tonsils looking worse, more swollen and more pus and fevers to 105. Believe me it doesn't get any better because the child is older. Watching helplessly as a parent is torture. I'm hoping I can convince the peditrician that he needs a tonsillectomy. I feel it is worth a try. He is missing out on so much because of this.
