Guest guest
Hi, I'm mostly a reader and not a writer, so let me reintroduce myself. I'm Carole, we live in a suburb of Dallas, and my son, , is almost 4. We have an appt. with a developmental pediatrician in June looking for an autism diagnosis. Like many others here, we suspected that there was more to than Down syndrome, and it really hit home after reading Disability Solutions last year about dual diagnoses. In the few months I've subscribed this list it has brought me such peace of mind to know that there are others out there whose kids are so similar to mind, and you all have given me so much information. Your senses of humor have been much appreciated as well. Thank you all. Now to my question. has had an ongoing sinus infection since early January. A culture shows he's on the right antibiotic, but this thing keeps coming back a few days after the antibiotic ends. The ENT wants to do an x-ray of 's sinuses, which for means he'll have to be sedated in order to do it. Has anyone out there been through this, and can you tell me what the x-ray hopes to accomplish? The earliest we could get in at the local children's hospital is Mar. 14, so I have some time to think about this, although at this point I don't have any opposition to doing the x-ray. Thanks so much! Carole in Dallas
