I am a totally different mother with the younger two than I was with my first 3, as they often remind me. >> OK Donna, I am rolling on the floor laughing. I can picture this--been there, done that! Some people just have no sense of humor--maybe she aimed with that shoe!! I am also frequently reminded that I am a different mother, usually it sounds something like " You NEVER would have let us get away with that! " Live and learn.... Guest guest
i think its kinda great in a way she threw the shoe..... i think it teaches the uneducable ingrates in today's world that special needs kids have personalities even if they exhibit it by throwing shoes. heheheh so funny,,,,,, we should also be thankful she has arms to throw shoes with and so should the man she whopped with it...........lmao take care all........... Guest guest
Donna -- What a story - LOL!!!! Obviously, Bob and I are not the only ones with stories like this. We have some doosies too! Restaurants are especially challenging places for - like when she tries to overturn the tables. We went to a Chinese restaurant recently -- she loves rice, the food comes FAST -- it was a total disaster!! She almost overturned the table twice, yelled out constantly, threw things on the floor, spilled water glasses and pulled the hair of her dinner companions. Before the food even came my DH was about to have a nervous breakdown, so I asked the waitress to put our meal in carry-out cartons and we took it home. People in the restaurant were looking at us, but most were looks of sympathy. And the waitress was very kind about the whole thing. The only " safe " place for her is Mcs! I remember when we were down in Baltimore last year for Maddie's visit with Dr. Capone. Duff and I took her to a very nice restaurant at the Inner Harbor. Beautiful windows looking out on the water. By the time we left, they were covered in mashed potatoes, which were also on the CEILING!!!!!! They were wonderful about it and we lucked out in that we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time (we had an early dinner and went back to our hotel).
