While I share the agony of having a grandchild who "regressed" into autism with Bob and , I do not share what I believe to be their lack of urgency into finding what "caused" my/their grandchild to "regress". I will NEVER understand WHY the 's have allowed Autism Speaks to pursue research that has been pursued for decades WITHOUT ANY BENEFITS TO SHOW FOR IT.

Unfortunately, we share a grandchild who "regressed" after receiving thimerosal laced vaccines, for my grandson, the years were 2001-2002, at least three YEARS after this highly suspect substance had been identified as a possible threat to our kids. Indeed, there is EVERY reason to believe my/their grandchild may have been spared the life they now live had thimerosal been removed when first recommended in the late 1990's. Unfortunately, we may NEVER know because the research that can provide us answers has NEVER been done.

In my humble opinion the time for the 's and Autism Speaks to "put up or shut up" has long since passed.
