removed from shots, but autism diagnosis haven't declined.

IS SHE SERIOUS!?!?! This is not the only post, I just have got to

YES...there's also someone who contributes a comment who says that

I think we should give her a pop quiz on Evidence of Harm. No person who read that book would be writing such crap. I think she lied to about reading it. She probably has a lot of money invested.... Connect the dots.

Montel said he would be doing another show on autism and vaccines- I think we should focus our attention on him and support his next show. The View/Rosie (they are one in the same) is a dead end.

I think we should not read her blogs because she has other motivations than to help our children and even if she were educated on this subject(which I very much doubt) since she said to DK " It's a very good book" or something to that effect--what a dumb ass comment to make. She is not going to be our saviour-so forget her-she counts for nada in our lives---she has a huge ego and I never liked her before and I like her even less now. I think we should take our energies to where it counts- Rosie is yesterday's bad news. , I don’t know if she read

the book but when I read the comment attributed to her “I read the book

and I liked it”, I thought “you are LYING”.

I have read the book several times and I

hate it. not because didn’t do an excellent job but because

it made me sick to my stomach. I have never heard anyone say they “liked”

that book. I puked the first time I read it and I was there and lived

every page of it. I knew every player. I remember Lyn sitting at the

Orlando Conference, I remember introducing Andy to speak. I was at every

hearing in DC. I remembered every scene from my memories and to see it in print

was excruciating. It still is.

No one likes that book. No one

should. But it’s a very important book and I hate to see it pissed

away like it was by these idiots. Screw em all.

Evidence of Harm is the principal seminal book on this issue. It was the icebreaker and it is still its most important piece. It will be viewed historically as a fundamental treatise on health, medical care, personal freedom, the intersection of government, corruption and health as business and the way this society treats its most precious asset, its children. It will be recognized as a turning point in this society and how this society moved forward. It is that brilliant.

And yet, it is extremely painful. But revel in its power, because a book that can cause such a visceral response is extremely powerful. And it evokes that response in all who touch its pages.

You cannot say enough about Kirby, the courage he had to write this book, his tireless efforts to address this issue and his continued efforts on behalf of us and on behalf of this country and on behalf of the children of this planet.

Indeed, the pen is mightier than the sword.

And , you have one helluva pen.

AMEN, Holly! I too threw up a few chapters in. I couldn't finish it for weeks because it made me so angry and upset that I couldn't focus on taking care of my children or myself. I still hold it and cry. Most of that book took place BEFORE my daughter was conceived!

NO ONE should "like" that book. NO ONE.

Also, someone said she got it the night before or the week before -

how did she have time to read that entire book before the show. It

too me forever, because I would read parts and then have to put it

down and avoid it for a bit because it was soooo upsetting.

Even if she skimmed like other talk show hosts, how can you avoid the

tables and graphs of evidence?

It took me three weeks of reading it every time I had five minutes to steal. I

was in a hurry

to read it in preparation for FAIR's May 2005 interview with Mr. Kirby... so I

don't see Rosie

reading it that quickly with her busy schedule....

So this was my exchange with Rosie:

--------------

writes:

Rosie, " The View " avoided any discussion of Autism's causality, and only picks

orgs as

resources who have no interest in the thimerosal controversy. Why? Have you been

pressured?

pressured? by who

listen

I ROSIE ODONNELL

chose not to do causation

ME

------------------

So I guess that's it. But I sense a real reticence...a fear of exploring the

topic, which comes

out in the defensive tone of her several responses on this.

O'Donnell, if this is her view, misses the point. By presenting ABA and

a nonsensical statement by an MD about " looking at the Y chromosome "

the show did present a view on causation. Nothing about

non-pharmaceutical biomedical treatment - next to nothing about

physiological disorders many of us know as autism.

O'Donnel is ill-informed and arrogant to believe that she knows enough

to make sound judgments on the issues.

Wait. Rosie decided that a WHOLE show about autism would not include mercury, thimerosal, vaccines, cause, or biomedical treatments? As a host she has THAT much power? I thought a producer makes that decision. When you have a show like Oprah or Montel- it’s THEIR show. But, the View had been around for about 8 years or so. It’s not the Rosie show- like someone else wrote- it’s THE VIEW--- it’s supposed to be 4 women from different ages and backgrounds sharing their views on different subjects. Damn you Meredith Viera!
