I have actually already read an article or two that says it will be recommended for boys. Furthermore-this is about as scary as it can get. It seems to me that it will have much difficulty passing in NJ(having lived there for many years) and also in Ca. Although one can never be guaranteed anything. And we have Holly in Pa-------------. I think this is one we need to fight. The ink in barely dry on the

rubber stamp given this by the FDA and the CDC and they want to give

it to every girl and woman in America. They have lost already in

Michigan and opposition is brewing elsewhere from all kinds of

perspectives. And it is a great way to educate legislators on the

corruption of the vaccine review and approval process at the federal

level.

This shot is really expensive, $360 for the full course and the

states will have to pick up the tab on a lot of this. They would

probably get a much greater level of protection if they used that

money to promote timely pap smears.

I posted this a few days ago. It was from a cnn-money.com artcile

about a new system for doctors to ask each other questions on line.

Gradasil is approved for girls as young as 3!

Merck is saying their researh is shows Gardasil is effective for

about 5 years!! However, research into that continues.

So, will they be resommend a Gardasil booster. What health problems,

issues will that bring?

Add that to the already growing lists of concerns.

protected. .A physician going by the moniker docDecaf wanted to know

what other doctors thought about inoculating girls with Merck's (up

$0.10 to $44.75, Charts) Gardasil, a newly-approved vaccine for a

sexually-transmitted virus that causes cervical cancer, in patients

as young as three.

The purpose of inoculating at a young age is to make sure the girls

are protected long before they become sexually active. The FDA has

approved the vaccine for girls as young as nine. But another doctor

wrote into Sermo, saying that three years is too young because the

vaccine's protection is believed to last 10 years, so its potency

would run out before most girls become sexually active.

(Merck spokeswoman Janet Skidmore said Gardasil's duration has been

South Dakota To Provide HPV Vaccine Gardasil At No Cost To Girls,

Women Ages 11 To 18

South Dakota Gov. Mike Rounds ® on Monday said the state will

provide Merck's human papillomavirus vaccine Gardasil at no cost to

girls and women ages 11 to 18, the AP/Yankton Press & Dakotan reports

(Brokaw, AP/Yankton Press & Dakotan, 1/8). Gardasil in clinical trials

has been shown to be 100% effective in preventing infection with HPV

strains 16 and 18, which together cause about 70% of cervical cancer

cases. FDA in July 2006 approved the vaccine for sale and marketing to

girls and women ages nine to 26, and CDC's Advisory Committee on

Immunization Practices later that month voted unanimously to recommend

that girls ages 11 and 12 receive the vaccine (Kaiser Daily Women's

Health Policy Report,1/9). The South Dakota Department of Health plans

to purchase the vaccine using $1.7 million in state funds and $7.5

million in federal funds, state Health Secretary Doneen Hollingsworth

said. State officials aim to provide Gardasil to physician offices and

health department clinics by Jan. 22 for the roughly 44,000 girls in

the state eligible to receive the vaccine, according to Hollingsworth.

Physicians will be permitted to charge a fee for administering

Gardasil but only to those who can afford it, the AP/Press & Dakotan

reports. Hollingsworth said the voluntary vaccination program likely

will focus on girls ages 11 and 12 in future years, adding that South

Dakota will be the second state, after New Hampshire, to make the

vaccine available at no cost (AP/Yankton Press & Dakotan, 1/8).

I know most people with autism are boys, I happen to have 3 daughters,

1 with autism. They try to make me feel like an idiot and that I'm

againt women's rights because I happen to be a Christian and have

daughters and be against the vaccine. What they don't say is that it's

not about sex, as they'd have it be. This entire gardasil fiasco has

been offensive to women's health from the get-go. Most of the women at

my church are asking me about it. They aren't concerned about

promoting promiscuity, they're concerned about it contaminating their

daughter's bodies with toxins. Could it be that gardasil, or as I call

it, norotatwat, is really going to be the shot that sends the vaccine

religion over the top? Friends of babies are talking now about this

rotavirus thing as scary and rediculous. Every time they add a new

vaccine more and more people are becoming more and more fearful of the

vaccine program.
