Funny, we never heard about it. Brother says he eats raw garlic everyday and never gets a flu shot. His sister suddenly is having difficulty remembering one thing from one minute to the next. We keep having the same conversations over and over. Grandmother (their mother had alzheimer's/dementia and really went downhill fast- lived to 84 I think). Her twin's son is supposed to be an undiagnosed case of autism (he was a strange cat, but I haven't seen him for many years)...before autism touched out lives. His son (twin grandson is aspergers). I tell my m-i-l these people are related by blood. Excreting mercury may be an issue. She's thinks I'm full of shit and continues to get her yearly bolus dose of mercury via her flu vaccines. Oh, I forgot to mention they both were diagnosed w/ pre-diabetes this past year (m-i-l and f-i-l).Well, I wonder how long it'll be before she completely goes over the edge? When are people going to see what is going on? Guest guest
I can ask. M-i-l (retired nurse) doesn't regularly divulge medical stuff to me. She'll make announcements like " we were both diagnosed pre- diabetics " , but she knows how I feel about all her " doctoring " and my husband and I usually end up fighting with her about our son's problems/vaccines/ and greedy pharmaceutical companies. I really think it makes her feel " special " to go to see all these doctors (they spend a good part of their boring retired lives going to this or that doctor). Oh boy 5 whole minutes of attention from a guy who is a doctor, think of all the schooling he has had, oh Christ I could piss my pants just thinking about it . I assume he told them to modify their diet. I expect eventually they will go on one of those new diabetic medications that I've read about. I've also been reading about how diabetes is expected to rise in this country. Wonder if that's because we have these new medications to push? I'm a horrible cynic, I know. > Oh, I forgot > to mention they both were diagnosed w/ pre-diabetes this past year (m- > i-l and f-i-l). > > Did their doctor(s) have any suggestions for them...just wondering, as my own husband was diagnosed with pre-diabetes last year, and his mother died of complications due to diabetes, and I recently found out that his sister also has diabetes. > >
