Guest guest
The first time I saw those cute little penguins was a commercial for Flu facts. I hadn't even heard about the movie yet. I eventually figured out it was a movie. Pretty slick marketing. My daughter brought her lunch menu home in November and it was Happy Feet/Flu facts advertising on the back. I kind of remember the slogan " Pop a Chocks " ..I took Flinstones vitamins. One I ate a whole bottle of them at one time. You know they had different flavors and shapes of the different characters. Don't ask me why I did that...I don't even remember getting sick from them or anything. > > Do you remember the old Carlin bit " Pop a Chocks! " I took > Chocks vitamins as a kid. Guest guest
I'm 37 and in 6th grade I remember having little dixie cups of fluoride. It was some type of special program. I only remember doing it in that one classroom. I don't know if it was given to everyone in the school, or just 6th graders. Love being a guinea pig. Guest guest
Thinking about it, I probably prefer being one of those hamsters in a cage running constantly on a metal wheel. That's how I live my life. Re: Re: Happy Feet and Flu Facts Advertising I'm 37 and in 6th grade I remember having little dixie cups of fluoride. It was some type of special program. Guest guest
It wasn’t just your grade or your school. We had the same crap for years in california. My daughter brought home a paper from kindergarten – and each subsequent year – to participate in the program. We refused of course. Guest guest
I can recite ALL the naughty words quite quickly, but you'll have to just trust me on that one. I do have a reputation to maintain you know. S,P,F,C,CS,MF,T... And that's all I'm saying. I'm off to listen to the Hippy Dippy weatherman on Wonderful WINO...... And the youth today think Rock is the funniest thing ever? Nothing beat GC on a turntable sneaking a listen while your folks were out of the house! And I'm sure Lenny remembers the Herb Alpert Taste of Honey album cover. That'll foam your latte, eh? Enough strolling down the memory lane of my childhood in the 70's, I promise. My Bella is starting to use words (DMPS) and I'm giddy, I admit it. kimstagliano.blogspot.com
Guest guest
Gardisil is marketing to the teenager. It’s like a repeat of the Nike “Strong Woman” campaign for teenagers. The commercial has teenagers playing all sorts of sports, showing independent teens and young woman. Do it, get the vaccine!! At 1st the campaign just started with commercials talking about HPV and talk to your Dr. Now they are more blatant, get to your Dr. for the vaccine! Side effects of course revolve around the injection sight. Guest guest
Our school district is doing " phase two " of flumist, the goal is 70% compliance. They send home a fact sheet, followed by a medical release where you sign that you've had an opportunity to ask questions, understand the risks, blah, blah. It's pathetic. I thought about sending it back with every contraindication marked as having, then striking out the part about having the opportunity to ask questions, but I was too afraid they might do it anyway. Sad thing is, we have over 40 kids who don't speak English at that school. No telling how many more do but their parents don't. Debi

Maybe you could get an article quickly into the newspaper-if that would even help inform people.Debi <fightingautism@...> wrote: Our school district is doing "phase two" of flumist, the goal is 70%compliance.
