Guest guest
That's it? A couple of people show up, talk basic autism speak, some idiot says it's a gift- " there are angels among us " , a couple people say they think it should pass. The guy smacks his gavel and that's it? There is no actual voting among the entire congress? > > I am going to go throw up and then start drinking so i can throw up > again. what a fucking waste. i hope those who supported this > abortion of hope are proud of themselves. >
Guest guest
I for one am drinking a Red Bull so that I can use all my energy on all the other things that needs to be done. We still have a lot of things going on such as individual state legislation and let's not forget some of the other vaccine legislation going through congress. The CAA will probably never get fully funded.Maurine Meleck <maurine_meleck@...> wrote: well, let me join you at a distance. what are you drinking?Holly <maximomadelphia (DOT) net> wrote: I am going to go throw up and then start drinking so i can throw up again. what a fucking waste. i hope those who supported this abortion of hope are proud of themselves. Guest guest
I did not get to see this, but for those of us that contacted out house members in regard to not voting for it without the environmental and vaccine language in the bill, I don't think those Congressional Reps wanted to have a recorded Yes/No vote. Guest guest
I'm confused. Does the legislation provide money for research into environmental causes, or doesn't it? Does anyone have a link to the text of the legislation as it was passed? Not that I usually understand legalese very well, but I am curious. The USAAA is saying 'expands and intensifies biomedical research on autism, including an essential focus on possible environmental causes'. Perhaps if I read the actual language in the legislation, I will understand what, exactly, that means.

Guest guest
This looks like the version of S 843 that was passed in the Senate. The bill voted on by the House was S 843, as amended. The last version that was widely circulated in the House was Barton's draft, which was substantially different, including removal of provisions for additional Centers of Excellence and designated funding for environmental factors research. I have not seen a copy of the bill confirmed to be the one just voted on in the House, but it is different than the one on govtrack.us. Guest guest
I sure hope you are wrong. One thing that was mentioned awhile back is all throughout the bill it says " Secretary, acting through the Director, shall develop and implement blah, blah... " I think the director is the CDC. That probably isn't good. We will have to keep a close jaundice eye on it. > > > > > > > > I'm confused. Does the legislation provide money for research into > environmental causes, or doesn't it? You should have the link momentarily if it is not already here.
