RIGHT ON!!! PARENTS DESERVE TO KNOW WHAT "CAUSED" THIS EPIDEMIC. WE MUST ENCOURAGE THE LEADERS OF MAJOR AUTISM ORGANIZATIONS TO OVERCOME THEIR UNDERSTANDABLE FEAR THAT PUBLIC HEALTH BULLIES WILL SEEK TO LABEL THEM "SCARE-MONGERS" OR "CONSPIRACY WACOS" FOR

DEMANDING ANSWERS TO "INCONVENIENT QUESTIONS" MANY POWERFUL VESTED INTERESTS WOULD PREFER TO IGNORE.

AFTER ALL, OUR CHILDREN ARE THE VICTIMS HERE, AND, THERE IS NO ONE MORE TO BLAME THAN THESE SAME PUBLIC HEALTH BULLIES. FOR TOO LONG THEY HAVE BEEN CLAIMING SUCCESSFUL VACCINATIONS HAVE MADE OUR CHILDREN AMONG THE MOST HEALTHY IN THE DEVELOPED WORLD, ALL BUT ELIMINATING MEASLES, MUMPS, ETC. EXCEPT FOR THE "INCONVENIENT" FACT THAT 1 IN EVERY 6 NOW SUFFER SOME TYPE OF EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROBLEM, MANY LIFE-LONG DISABILITIES, SUCH AS, AUTISM , JUVENILE DIABETES, ETC. INDEED, CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG, BUT I BELIEVE OUR COUNTRY STANDS ALMOST AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF DEVELOPED NATIONS FOR INFANT DEATH MORTALITY RATES.

IN OTHER WORDS, THESE PUBLIC HEALTH AGENCIES SHOULD BE ATTACKED ON THEIR TERRIBLE TRACK RECORDS AND PERFORMANCE OVER DECADES. FOR TOO LONG THEY HAVE BEEN "RESTING ON THEIR LAURELS", WHILE SPENDING TOO MUCH TIME AND ENERGY RUNNING INTERFERENCE FOR PROFITEERS INSTEAD OF PROVIDING DEFENSE FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR KIDS. NO ONE KNOWS FOR ABSOLUTE CERTAIN WHY THIS GENERATION IS UNDER SO MUCH STRESS, BUT, I DO KNOW FOR CERTAIN OUR PUBLIC HEALTH BUREAUCRACY, AS PRESENTLY STRUCTURED, HAS ABSOLUTELY NO EXPLANATION FOR IT. PERHAPS IT IS TIME AUTISM ORGANIZATIONS JOINED TOGETHER IN DEMANDING OUR ENTIRE PUBLIC HEALTH BUREAUCRACY BE RESTRUCTURED AND ISOLATED FROM THE WELL-KNOWN CONFLICTING INTERESTS THAT PERMEATE IT TODAY.

EVEN THE RIDICULOUS POSITION THERE IS NO EPIDEMIC, JUST BETTER DIAGNOSIS, WOULD PROVIDE FURTHER CLEAR AND CONVINCING EVIDENCE OUR PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICIALS HAVE BEEN AT ASLEEP AT THE SWITCH FOR OVER 60 YEARS!!!! IF THEY ARE RIGHT, THEY ARE ADMITTING GROSS INCOMPETENCE IN DISCERNING THE MAGNITUDE OF THIS LIFE-LONG, INCURABLE DISEASE. IT WOULD ALSO INDICATE THEIR PRIORITIES OVER DECADES HAVE BEEN, AT BEST, UNFAIRLY APPLIED. CONSIDER, POLIO OR AIDS, BOTH SEVERE DISEASES WITH SEVERE CONSEQUENCES, YET BOTH WERE RECOGNIZED AND TREATED WITH AN URGENCY THAT AUTISM HAS YET TO RECEIVE. WHY SHOULD THAT BE?

IT IS NOT JUST PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICIALS THAT AUTISM ORGANIZATIONS SHOULD JOIN FORCES TO PUBLICLY CHALLENGE. OUR PRESIDENT PLEDGED TO REMOVE THIMEROSAL FROM VACCINES WHEN HE WAS A CANDIDATE SEEKING OUR VOTES. AFTER RE-ELECTION, WHEN ASKED TO HONOR HIS PLEDGE, OUR PRESIDENT CLAIMED SUCH ACTION WOULD CAUSE "UNDUE HARM" TO PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES. WHAT ABOUT THE "UNDUE HARM" DONE TO OUR KIDS? REPS LIKE JOE BARTON AND BILL FRIST, BY THEIR OWN ACTIONS IN PUBLIC OFFICE, HAVE PROVEN THEMSELVES WORHTY OF PUBLIC CRITICISM FROM ALL MAJOR AUTISM ORGANIZATIONS. INDEED, THERE SHOULD BE ONE STANDARD ONLy: you will judged on WHAT YOU "DO", NOT WHAT YOU "SAY".

WHEN FUTURE HISTORIANS WRITE THE HISTORY OF AUTISM, LET THEM REMEMBER 2007 AS THE YEAR PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICIALS WERE FORCED TO RESPOND TO AN AUTISM COMMUNITY UNITED IN THEIR DEMAND FOR THE FUNDS AND RESEACH TO IDENTIFY THE "CAUSE" OF THE EPIDEMIC. IN ADDITION, THE FUNDS AND RESEARCH TO TREAT IT.

For the top 5 biomedical listserves, they generate so much email, I

cannot imagine a parent being able to track more than one unless done

so superficially. It is " my job " to monitor many autism lists and at

best I can speed read their indexs. In other words, I subscribe to a

dozen discussion lists, but I am really only there for one or two at

best. So yes, there can be overlap, mostly in name only.
