Guest guest
Nothing has been dodged........therefore the debate.... words used did attack character. the positive here is that we hopefully will not go that route again.... back on track: again. please call legislators’ public health committees, and doctors, about either sending reps or going to the mini-DAN in Vermont. THE WEEK-END OF September 8th. The Governor is speaking; this will draw media attention If anyone is successful it will be great to hear about it Suzanne REAACH From: EOHarm [mailto:EOHarm ] On Behalf Of schaferatsprynet Sent: Wednesday, August 30, 2006 2:03 AM EOHarm Subject: Re: Cool out, please I agree that flaming is a bad thing. But for the most part the criticism presented here are not about character, but about political actions taken in behalf of our community and our children -- actions that have served us poorly. No one is above criticism, especially those who would present themselves as leaders of our community. If mistakes have been made, the place to correct them is not behind closed doors, but under the scrutiny of the community. There is just too much at stake. As far as I am concerned, the proper criticisms raised here have not been addressed but dodged and that in itself is an answer -- so the debate need not continue for now. In a democracy, public debate is a good thing. The community has a right to know who is doing what in their name. Only out of public debate will competent leadership emerge. At least that's how it works in America. Lenny > > I think flaming each other, while all of us are trying to do our best, > is wildly unproductive. Particularly in public.
