Guest guest
If you don't get what you want now, simply walk away and wait until January. You're already up the learning curve with this and you have the know-how to do this quickly- especially since you know the process to some extrent and know how they can possibly screw you witih that process. Waiting a short time raises the specter that you will get a much better bill. Barton has to know this. Since the election, he appears to be much more accommodating. That is not accidental. At least try to test Barton now, just to understand what you have/don't have. If Barton wants to move the bill along and you still have reservations, squeeze him. Imus Wednesday morning comments I tuned in late, but did hear him bring the CAA to one of his guests. Jack Valenti is on today. Mr. Valenti was in the motorcade when Pres. Kennedy was assasinated 43 years ago today.Imus said that "two groups" are still negotiating with Joe Barton. He also said something about those groups say they want environmental research but they really don't.He said they can get a better deal with the democrats and he will help them again just as he did this time.Mr. Valenti said he personally had attended meetings on the CAA with Bob and Suzanne and Deirdre Imus and he thought they had worked out an agreement, but he guesses it didn't work out. Guest guest
He said that two groups are still negotiating. But does he NAME and NAMES? Of either organizations, or actual PEOPLE?? I've been sent some mp3 files of the program and I haven't had a chance to listen to them yet, but I will. And see if I can hear for myself exactly what it is that Imus seems to be saying.I hate to sound like you-know-who, but sometimes things can be rather black and white. And people who aren't willing to take a stand strong enough to name names and to do it publically aren't really helping us, it seems to me.andrea52521991 <mkeller@...> wrote: Imus said that "two groups" are still negotiating with Joe Barton. Guest guest
Has Imus named any NAMES? Names of organizations, names of PEOPLE?Ok I've listened to the audio of the recent Imus program. This is what I have heard. He is speaking about the Centers of Excellence being cut from 21 down to 3. Then he says that the people who support those cuts, they are people who don't rely on these Centers of Excellence. ('Centers of Excellence'-- what a creepy Orwellian feel those words seem to me to have.) They don't rely on them because they have their own money to seek treatment in whatever manner they choose to. What I want to know is this. Who are these people? What are their names, and what are the names of their organizations. And Imus doesn't seem to be giving me or his listening audience any of this information in his broadcast. Unless I'm missing something.Bernard Rimland called for an ad in the USA Today. That is where money needs to be put, in my opinion. He called this act the Pretending to Combat Autism Act. The organizations who support this, in my opinion, are the organizations worthy of support. I am sure they won't be ashamed to make their support transparent to the public in any way they can. I'm sure that they won't be afraid to use their names.
