Guest guest
I haven't been following this thread, but I caught this post... Here is my http://tinyurl.com/o7khn on this... Most parents with an autistic child or children do not tape them up and lock them in closets or cages. They are some of the finest, do right by my child, people that I have had the privilege of getting to know. Through my travels, I have been truly amazed at their strength and determination (equal among both mothers and fathers). http://tinyurl.com/qg5cw Now I'm sure that autism can be incredibly hard for a parent to deal with. The frustration can probably lead to someone taking some pretty desperate steps. But this goes far and beyond that. Remember, several years back we had a minister exercising the autism demons...please. http://tinyurl.com/o6fug http://tinyurl.com/qpype These are a bunch of psychos in need of more interference: In a last-minute move that surprised the judge, prosecutors opted Thursday to allow the jury to consider a lesser child-abuse charge against a minister on trial for the death of an autistic 8-year-old. .....Defense attorney spent much of Thursday building a case that Hemphill wasn't to blame. First, Hemphill, Ray's brother and the founder of the church, explained the church's philosophy and why he ordained Ray as an evangelist without formal training. "If a person believes that the King Version of the Bible is the word of God, you just read it and you just believe it," said Hemphill, who is a bishop in and pastor of the church. "It's nothing that you have to go to school for. If you believe it, that's it." Hemphill further explained that Ray has "a gift" for healing through casting out demons - which, he said, is a Biblical imperative for Christians - and that Terrance's mother had authorized the three weeks of prayer services preceding Aug. 22. Under intense cross-examination from Assistant District Attorney Mark S. , Hemphill said Terrance's death was a product of God's will, not an accident in the ceremony, regardless of the pressure Ray Hemphill might have used. "If I lay down on somebody and they pass away, God took him, I didn't," Hemphill said. http://tinyurl.com/rbe6y There is really no excuse for a group of adults to restrain a child and then take turns beating and whipping him. Only a seriously twisted view of God can possibly begin to justify such actions. http://tinyurl.com/qdofd Peace; -----Original Message-----From: EOHarm [mailto:EOHarm ]On Behalf Of GilmoreSent: Friday, September 01, 2006 4:29 PMEOHarm Subject: {Disarmed} Re: Tape-wrapped boy left in closet to die In away I am no so sure I would want a lot of publicity on this because if it is the usual story it would just present us all as a bunch of psychos in need of more interference from the schools, CPS, police, doctors and all the other helping professions that do so much for our kids.> > > > > >> > > > > > "Some, like Marcus, who has autism, may have limited > > > communication or > > > > > > self-protection skills." > > > > > > http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?> > > > > > AID=/20060826/EDIT01/608260329/1090> > > > > > > > > > > > News/video link > > > > > > > > http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/08/30/parents.charged.ap/index.html> > > > > >> > > > >> > > >> > >> >> Create a blog, web site, and more. ..
