Guest guest
There was a story in the book Evidence of Harm, about a mother in Washington, I believe, or perhaps it was Atlanta. It's been a few years since I read the book. She was there for a rally, or to speak with her representatives, with a group of other parents of autistic children. And she had her child with her, and her child was acting out, yelling, when one of the women who worked in the government office building was leaving the building. I'm sure those of you who've read the book know the incident I am speaking of. And the woman shouted at the mother of the autistic child, asking him what was wrong with her child, why couldn't she control him. And the woman called the child a freak. It was my understanding that a video existed of this exchange. I understand that it wouldn't likely appear on my evening news broadcasts, in between pharmaceutical drug commercials. However, I would think that it would be available somewhere on the internet--for instance on youtube.com.
