Tuesday, July 11, 2006

Legislator nne Altmann of Great Neck, NY will announce the

introduction of legislation that will keep vaccines given at the Nassau

County Medical Center thimerosal-free. This continues A-CHAMP's

successful campaign in NY's Suffolk County to ban mercury in vaccines.

Together the population of the two NY Counties exceeds 3 million.

Parents are invited and encouraged to attend – your presence will send

a message to legislators and other political leaders. Attending will be

What: Press Conference Announcing AN ORDINANCE to establish a policy

requiring the use of mercury-free vaccines in any county facility in

Nassau County

When: Tuesday, July 11 at 12 Noon

Where: One West Street Mineola, Nassau County, New York

Who: Legislator nne Altman and bipartisan sponsors of the

legislation

Why: To Protect Our Children from Mercury in Vaccines, because the

Federal Government Will not Act, and the NY State Government has not

acted soon enough.
