People with NPDs are hell to live with and are so good at what they say and how they say it - they will have their spouse/partner believing that the spouse/partner is "nuts and not the reasonable one". It is called narcisistic supply - they cannot be without a partner to victimize.People will not believe the stories that the spouse/partner of a NPD will tell because the NPD person "seems like such a nice person".NPD people have careers ranging from truck driver to doctors, senators, etc. And, a spouse/partner who is caught in the spider web of being victimized can be extremely intelligent - they do not have to be the gullible type - that is how expert people with NPDs live their lies. I am extremely suspicious when someone claims that someone is one of the nicest people they know - no one really knows someone unless they have lived with them, or they not only talk the talk, but can walk the walk.
