Guest guest
Hey Lenny, I'm no fan or supporter of the buffoon, but in all fairness, Bush isn't to blame, it's the mindset of mainstream which drives, brainwashes and endorses the political engine. All his predecessors irrespective of party or philosophy have ridden in the same limosine. You know as well as I do, that he is a victim of the political process. Our focus should always be on altering their philosophy and mindset. Ask this, if he died to-day, would it make any difference when replacement stepped in and if he/she died would that be any different. / We have to persuade the masses, not the rich folks who've bought their way into placing themselves in the most advantageous positions enabling them to be elected to political decision making office Take care n schaferatsprynet <schafer@...> wrote: The autism epidemic will be Bush's legacy.>> Instead of the pharmaceutical industry reaping a $139 billion windfall> profit from Bush corporate welfare, perhaps they would have been held> accountable for price fixing, and using toxic substances in our> children's' vaccines (formaldehyde (used in embalming), thimerosal> (nearly 50 percent mercury), aluminum phosphate (toxic and> carcinogenic), antibiotics, phenols (corrosive to skin and toxic),> aluminum salts (corrosive to tissue and neurotoxic), methanol (toxic),> isopropyl (toxic), 2-pheoxyethanol (toxic), live viruses and a host of> unknown components considered off-limits as trade secrets. Guest guest
n, I think we have all been duped for years. A lot of the politicians who carry the titles " democrat " or " republican " do not hold to the ideas that these parties were founded on. Repblicans are supposed to be for less federal governement, yet under the current administration and congress we have more federal control than ever. If Kerry truly cared about the country, he would have contested the last election where clear evidence of fraud was found. Is it really that hard to believe there is a group controlling both parties? > > > > Instead of the pharmaceutical industry reaping a $139 billion windfall > > profit from Bush corporate welfare, perhaps they would have been held > > accountable for price fixing, and using toxic substances in our > > children's' vaccines (formaldehyde (used in embalming), thimerosal > > (nearly 50 percent mercury), aluminum phosphate (toxic and > > carcinogenic), antibiotics, phenols (corrosive to skin and toxic), > > aluminum salts (corrosive to tissue and neurotoxic), methanol (toxic), > > isopropyl (toxic), 2-pheoxyethanol (toxic), live viruses and a host of > > unknown components considered off-limits as trade secrets. Guest guest
n, If he was able to push going to war on a bunch of lies (even Colin tried to persuade him not to do it at first and regrets his appearance before the UN) and manipulate the media the way he did to get the American people to support the war (if you were against it, you were unAmerican), don't you think he could have done something about the poisoning of his own citizens? After all, he claims to be a born-again Christian. You will know them by the fruit they bear. Guest guest
The highest levels of ASD to date, occurred for boys born during the years 1996-1999 when the thimerosal containing hepB vaccines was mandated for 12 hours olds. The numbers are 1 in 30 to 40 boys born during those years are ASD as a consequence of that protocol. While Bush may be a number of things, he was not in the Clinton administration during 1996-1999. I'm not disputing those numbers, as my ASD son was born during that timeframe - just curious.
Guest guest
It is shallow statements like this that will keep us from reaching the goal of helping our children. Kiss Kennedy's ass all you want and be good bush basher (or any republican except Burton and Weldon). Mercury in vaccines declined under Bush! I can use true but shallow statements. Both presidents have shown poor leadership on this issue. I believe Clinton had much more of an opportunity to focus on it. To blame the autism epidemic on Bush is just shooting yourself in the foot. When you make statements like this you turn off most people who would otherwise be open to learning more about this issue. Your political views are so obvious and partisan that no one will take you seriously. I would suggest you focus your efforts on getting your percieved friends in the congress and at the state level to change the law. The Daily Show is watched by a TON of people. When I mention his article to politicians, they listen and read it. Guest guest
You're starting to sound partisan and very extreme. We're certainly not bashing the Republican Party (and by the tone of your e-mail, it's obvious you are a right-wing Republican). We have plenty of Republicans helping us with this issue. We're bashing Bush because he's in a position to do something about this. This issue is in the public eye much more than it has ever been during any other presidency and not only is Bush not doing anything about it, but his administration is actually helping to cover it up. Why are you bashing Kennedy who has lent much help and why compare him to someone who is part of the cover-up? That's like comparing apples to oranges. If you feel like bashing a Democrat, try Henry Waxman, now there's a Democrat you can bash who has been an obstacle to getting something done on this issue and "yes" you can bash the Clinton's too, but leave RFK Jr. alone. You better read your own e-mail. Who's really sounding like a terrorist right now? Sorry he is not a dictator and has to have legislation sent to him to sign. Sorry we are at war and sorry they get no pressue from the autism community. What about Clinton? Mercury in vaccines declined under Bush! I can use true but shallow statements. Both presidents have shown poor leadership on this issue. I believe Clinton had much more of an opportunity to focus on it. To blame the autism epidemic on Bush is just shooting yourself in the foot. When you make statements like this you turn off most people who would otherwise be open to learning more about this issue. Your political views are so obvious and partisan that no one will take you seriously. I would suggest you focus your efforts on getting your percieved friends in the congressand at the state level to change the law. If Bush or any other republican leader vetos the legislation then you can spew your hatred like an islamic terrorist. I am sick of the partisan BS. When you have all or many democrats on board let me know. I will be sure to vote for the party that cares more! If your liberal buddies win the house back their priority will not be autism it will be impeaching Bush because he responsible for the autism epidemic. Guest guest
Ok, I’ll bite. RFK showed up and did an interview or two. But what else did he do??? Do not bronze his bust before he actually does something to help our cause, and your child. From: EOHarm [mailto:EOHarm ] On Behalf Of Beth A. Baker Sent: Monday, September 18, 2006 10:21 PM EOHarm Subject: Re: Re: How Bush could have been the greatest President ever You're starting to sound partisan and very extreme. If you feel like bashing a Democrat, try Henry Waxman, now there's a Democrat you can bash who has been an obstacle to getting something done on this issue and " yes " you can bash the Clinton's too, but leave RFK Jr. alone. You better read your own e-mail. Who's really sounding like a terrorist right now? Beth Re: How Bush could have been the greatest President ever It is shallow statements like this that will keep us from reaching the goal of helping our children. Guest guest
The frustration of being incapable of forging significant persuasive inroads into the congressional mindset and therefore policy changes with regard to vaccines is really terrifying because, we fear that each day this issue is neglected results in more children unnecessarily being claimed by the Autism spectre. It is criminal for congress to continue deflecting and avoiding taking clear unequivocal decisive action that would end this autism epidemic. While I agree that personal vitriolic harrangue is somewhat unproductive, it does have a cathartic effect upon the expressor. Politicians by virtue of being in the spotlights are always going to be targets. They are afterall our decision making representatives .and they're not exactly honest paragons of virtue. Better to assault them with words than to resort to criminal assaultive acts. Every oppositional expression catalyzes another wave in their direction. All of them ARE travelling in the same direction so together they eventually will be a tsunami which the congress will have to take note of. When I sit alone ruminating over this issue, I do feel contempt for these feckless cowards. They're harming our kids and leaving unsuspecting others open to a lifetime of significant difficulty. They have the power to prevent the looming disaster. They are choosing to ignore it. This is a crime. Even worse it is morally repugnant. it is only because I am reasonably civilized that i haven't resorted to physical violence against them. while no-one individual has the power to change the current vaccine policy , it isn't unresonable to expect the congressional leadership and the President to step up to the plate and finally swing at the first pitch. so far no-one's really even walked out to the mound. They're ALL GUILTY Take care nahs10402 <allprint@...> wrote: It is shallow statements like this that will keep us from reaching the goal of helping our children. Guest guest
I am a registered independent, thank you! I am not a terrorist, just a parent who cares a lot about this issue. Beth, how do I sound like a terrorist? Did I threaten anyone or accuse someone of being responsible for the autism epidemic. Right winger doesn't cut it either. Lets stick to the facts. RFK " It's time for the CDC to come clean " .... woopie. Here is a guy that flies around in his private jet to make speeches about how everyone should drive hybrids. He wants $20,000 to speak at an autism conference, hijacks the issue as his own, and to the best of my knowledge has never donated to an autism organization. Where is he on substance? The same goes for Ted. I am sick of hearing that these people are our allies. The Kennedy's could pony up $10,000,000 to biomedical autism organizations and it would be like us pulling $10 out of our wallets. Where is Ted Kennedy on the Hagel bill to remove mercury from vaccines. Zero cosponsors in the senate. We will have to disagree that Bush is responsible for the autism epidemic. He has not responded and that is unfortunate, and pisses me off as well, but, your criticism should focus on the FDA, CDC, NIH, etc. This crap all escalated before Bush was Governor of Texas. If you think statements like that are going to persuade intelligent parents we will have to agree to disagree. Guest guest
Not trying to get personal, but your logic is a bit flawed here. Your first post in response to Lenny's comment about the autism epidemic being Bush's legacy sounds highly defensive. I don't think LEnny was criticizing the entire Republican party. There have been many people on this list criticizing the Bush Family, and rightfully so. Their strong ties to Eli Lilly are well known. In case you forgot, Eli Lilly developed the poison also known as thimerosal which caused your child's disability. Your comment about RFK is also a bit skewed. While Bush has taken steps to prevent families of thimerosal injured kids from pursuing justice-attempting to seal court documents, also the Eli Lilly rider on HOmeland Security Bill was directed by the White House- at the very least RFK has spoken out in support of our injured kids. Kennedy has helped http://tinyurl.com/s9fdm Bush has hindered.http://tinyurl.com/mppwf So while you have clearly pointed out that the Kennedy's have NOT donation tens of millions of dollars to the cause, well then neither have the Bush's or the Cheneys, have they? > > > > > > > > Instead of the pharmaceutical industry reaping a $139 billion > > windfall > > > > profit from Bush corporate welfare, perhaps they would have been > > held > > > > accountable for price fixing, and using toxic substances in our > > > > children's' vaccines (formaldehyde (used in embalming), thimerosal > > > > (nearly 50 percent mercury), aluminum phosphate (toxic and > > > > carcinogenic), antibiotics, phenols (corrosive to skin and toxic), > > > > aluminum salts (corrosive to tissue and neurotoxic), methanol > > (toxic), > > > > isopropyl (toxic), 2-pheoxyethanol (toxic), live viruses and a > > host of > > > > unknown components considered off-limits as trade secrets. Guest guest
First of all, I was a registered Democrat, am now a registered Republican because of a certain primary I wanted to vote in, and after November's election will go Independent because I'm also sick of the partisanship and have recently seen a lot of Republicans I like and Democrats I don't like throughout this particular issue. Lenny gives us a one-liner and you came out with a lot of venom in your message. I do believe I have sent e-mails slamming the CDC, FDA, NIH, IOM, WHO etc...... Okay, you have some points. I was not aware that RFK wants $20,000 to speak at autism conferences. You must have asked him and have first-hand knowledge of this. Wish you would have initially let us in on that one as it would have explained some of that anger towards him. Second, I know Ted Kennedy has come out against mercury amalgams and you do have a point that he should be called on the carpet for not signing on as a co-sponsor to Chuck Hagel's bill. Calls should be made to his office and you've got me thinking that I should probably do that. I'm not sure how forcefully Senator Hagel has followed through as far as getting co-sponsors and that is another issue that should be addressed with calls to his office also. I do believe, however, that those ties to Eli Lilly are very incriminating for W. Bush. He's protecting big pharma in a big way and there's no honor in that, especially in light of the fact that he's launched this big war on terrorism and weapons of mass destruction. THIMEROSAL IS A WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION! Re: How Bush could have been the greatest President ever I am a registered independent, thank you!
