I don't understand these groups. Why the hostility to the mercury connection? What about Boyd Hailey's work? Why do they have to try to undermine the evidence? Is it because they want to be let off the hook as far as their child's treatment? These are smart people, don't underestimate them. Some of them are gifted liars

(possibly

industry shills paid to deceive on a grassroots level) and they know how to use

smoke &

mirrors to camouflage the truth and twist facts. Some of them are heavily

" spectrum " and

don't want to think that they are, at their core, merely a product of

mercury-induced brain

misdevelopment (not that THAT's what we're saying). They simply don't WANT the

facts to

be true.

They have vigorously rejected all the science showing that the mercury and MMR

connections with autism is MORE than plausible and deserves further study. They

don't

care that ethyl mercury kills neurons grown in culture... (or that testosterone

makes it

worse!) they don't care that Burbacher has shown that ethyl mercury goes into

the brain at

vaccine doses. They don't care that these children have suppressed immunity and

couldn't

form proper immune responses to the MMR and are later found to have measles and

rubella (and herpes) viruses infesting their intestines. They don't care that

these kids are

suffering malabsorption of nutrients because of their damaged guts or that their

brains

are starving. They don't care that these kids can't pay attention and have

severe learning

and communication deficits. And they CERTAINLY don't care that chelating heavy

metals,

supplementing mineral deficiencies and healing our children's bodies are

bringing this

puzzle closer to completion.

They just want us to leave our kids the hell alone and stop complaining that

they're

autistic.

come to think of it, the neurodiverse sound a lot like the CDC!

Moonies and Tom Cruise, help propagate the unfortunate myths about

autism that it is mental retardation by another name and that it is

genetic.

I doubt they are industry shills. They are just too loopy to be

" handled " and would be a risk to turn on any sponsors eventually. The

level of vitriol and the twisted disconnects from rationality leads me

to suspect that many of these folks are not even on the spectrum, but

rather suffer some mental illness like borderline personality

disorder. BPDs often present as angry " liars " (not really liars, they

believe their own distortions as true or justifiable.)

Politically, they draw their struggle comparative to the gay rights

movement and see themselves as an oppressed minority whose benign

" differences " are not tolerated by society. WRT mercury, can you

imagine how the gay community would react if anyone tried to connect

homosexuality to some environmental insult during development, even if

it were true?

If autism is not merely a genetic trait, their whole constructed

parallel to the gay rights movement collapses. Like with pharma and

public health agencies, any consession to mercury is institutionally

fatal.
