Take it from "the beaver"

Re: Why act now and get a toothless Combating Autism Act?

I agree 100%. Let's re-write it as it was intended before it was trashed earlier. Barton has no leverage and no pull and absolutely nothing to negotiate with. He is desperate and his funders are pounding him hard. Tell him to take a hike.Barton has become totally unecessary, but someone please thank him as the door hits him in the ass for all the media attention.Kendra

Why not start with the original consensus CAA in the new Congress?

BTW- loved the reference to sepsis.

It is those whoclaim to represent us too willing again to sell our children shortwith more "compromises" to the CAA who worry me. Perhaps we need tolaunch a "NO LAME DUCK DEALS" action alert campaign to get the wordout. We need more, not less "micro-management" language in the CAA toward off the presence of pharma sepsis that permeates pubic healthagencies. The original consensus CAA bill works for me.Lenny

I wasn't. "The beaver" doesn't have some untoward Oregonian reference (I apologize for any inaccuracy in innuendo), but rather to the countenance of one Texas legislator who looks like an overstuffed beaver, but is more aptly described as a weasal.

If I was going to suggest someone I would go with ACHAMP or Bob

Krakow. I can certainly appreciate the complexity of the situation but

this is the equivalent of someone breaking into my house and violating

my family and their security. If someone breaks into your house and

you catch them beating your kid so bad he has brain damage are you

going to want payback or to negotiate?

We are the people that have been violated. Not them. I want someone

who is passionate, intelligent and above all someone who is good with

people and knows how to 'work' them.

That being said as long as we stay united let they try to stop us.

My two cents,

" Parents please throw out names of individuals/organizations who you

would like to represent your child if CAA gets another chance.  If you

would like to email me privately, please do so.  "

Good choice.

Note that whoever negotiates must not be "starry-eyed" or fall trap to the false gods of celebrity or psuedo-celebrity status. That is how they will rope you in.

They must remain absolutely impartial and be aware of the sirens who aim to muffle this issue.
