Oh, I understand, it's not about the science...Eli Lilly just has an advanced marketing strategy!....http://tinyurl.com/jrqaq Eli Lilly and Thimerosal...a gamma secretase inhibitor manufactured by Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly and Co. should be in high demand in about 20 years. 1991 + 35 years = 2026

For example, within the past year two publications in refereed scientific journals have emerged from major foreign research universities demonstrating that mercury, and only mercury, can induce the formation of the two major pathological diagnostic hallmarks of Alzheimer’s disease. Mercury does this at nanomolar concentrations. This near or below the levels of mercury found in most reports where human brains have been tested for mercury levels. First, mercury at 10-9M levels has been shown to induce an increase in amyloid protein secretion (the component of amyloid or senile plaques) and to increase the phosphorylation of a protein called Tau {see Oliveri et al., J. of Neurochemistry,V 74, p231, 2000}, and to produce neurofibillary tangles {Leong et al., NeuroReports V12(4), 733, 2001}.

[Hock, D et al, 1998.] The study found that victims of AD had blood mercury levels more than two-fold higher than did controls. In early onset AD patients, the blood mercury levels were almost three-fold higher than in controls. The blood mercury levels were significantly correlated to the levels of amyloid beta-peptide in the cerebrospinal fluid.

Early-onset Alzheimer’s is a very rare form of the disease affecting less than 10% of all those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. It encompasses everyone with the disease under the age of 65.

Tragically it includes people as young as 35 and many people suffering from early-onset Alzheimer’s are in their 40s and 50s. Younger people who develop Alzheimer’s have very similar symptoms to those in the older age group but very often, because of their age, they are still active, possibly at work and with younger children.

It's funny that the Eli Lilly studies forgot to mention that mercury apparently increases amyloid beta peptide levels.Eli Lilly developed and manufactured the injectable form of mercury that causes the increase in amyloid beta peptide in the first place. No , you are understanding it just fine.
