I've learned that if we're meant to have something, we'll get it. I obviously wasn't meant to have this job.Out of 90 applicants I made it to the shortlist of 5 and from that only 2 others scored higher than me in the interview. The girl that got the job has vastly more computer experience than I do and has experience in the Home and Community Care sector, which I do not.I'm disappointed that's for sure, but that's ok. Another opportunity will present itself I'm sure!Luvanne Jackie

Guest guest
Thank you Sheena. I kinda knew by 3pm (when the boss called me in) that I didn't have the job and I was ok about that. The girl that got the job had qualifications that I didn't, so she definitely deserved the position and you're right, a much more lucrative job is just around the corner, I can feel it. If only my niggly back would settle down and behave itself! luv anne Re: The job Oh, anne, I am SOooo disappointed with you, but I know you are such a special person, something even BETTER is going to come along for you, you hang in! Guest guest
So, I've been at Abilicorp since March 2nd and things are going pretty well. There have been a couple of volatile personnel changes and we're all working pretty hard on trying to define each of our roles and be clear about the company's priorities and goals; par for the course of a startup. I'm still amazed that I got a job in this economy, and that it's in the private sector with decent pay. My health is better than I expected, so I'm about to increase my hours. I haven't had a UTI since my hospitalization in December. That's the longest I've gone since February '03! It's been great for both my physical and mental health to have a schedule outside of the house that's not too rigorous. I'm off all medications, including anti-inflammatories and the anti-depressant. Just birth control. I suspect my good diet is helping with that. I'm even making my own organic yogurt now! Woot! I am hopeful that Kendra and (when she gets back) will soon be able to post jobs for you all to apply to in states across the country. In the meantime, add your resume to our database at www.abilicorp.com. They're not just tech jobs. Our prettier new web site will be up by the middle of next week, but the old one still works. Cheers! Alana
