Bob Groves,

First, let me thank you for reporting

on the status of New Jersey A1324,

a bill to phase out the use of Thimerosal

in vaccines.

However, let me warn you that the CDC

statement you used to close your piece:

>Today, of all routinely recommended

>licensed pediatric vaccines that are

>currently manufactured for the U.S.

>market, only some influenza vaccines

>and tetanus-diphtheria (Td) vaccine

>(given to children age 7 and older)

>contain thimerosal, according to the

>federal Centers for Disease Control

>and Prevention in Atlanta.

is, at best, misleading.

More accurately,

>

> > Today, of all routinely recommended

> >licensed " pediatric " vaccines that are

> >currently manufactured for the U.S.

> >market, only some influenza vaccines

> >and tetanus-diphtheria (Td) vaccine

> >(given to children age 7 and older)

> >contain THIMERASOL AT A PRESERVATIVE

> >LEVEL, according to the federal Food

> >and Drug Administration's Center for

> >Biologics Research and Evaluation,

> >who licenses all vaccines.

> In addition, as of September 6,

>2005, there are several other vaccines

>(9 in all), which are licensed in the

>U.S. and, therefore, may legally be

>given, that contain some Thimerosal,

>including a TT vaccine (Aventis), a

>meningococcal vaccine (Aventis' multi-dose

>Menomune), and an Aventis-supplied

>JE-VAX (given to children traveling in

>some parts of Asia and to all in the

>military) that are Thimerosal-preserved.

> Moreover, in the 2005-2006 flu season,

>the federal Centers for Disease Control

>and Prevention's " some flu vaccines "

>that are Thimerosal-preserved accounted

>for most (>75%) of all doses given!

> Finally, Thimerosal-preserved vaccines

>have been shown to mercury-poison some

>adults who are repeatedly given the

>Thimerosal-preserved flu shot!

Moreover, since the vaccine makers have had

more than 6 years to REMOVE Thimerosal from

ALL vaccines as they agreed to do in 1999,

you might ask:

1. Why are there STILL any US-licensed vaccines

that contain any level of Thimerosal at all?

2. Why is the healthcare establishment NOW

opposing the banning of the use of Thimerosal

and other mercury-based compounds in vaccines

and other drugs!

3. Why has the CDC added the child-INEFFECTIVE

influenza vaccine to the childhood vaccination

schedule for those 6 months to 5 years of age

without BANNING the use of Thimerosal-containing

vaccines for these children?

4. Why has the CDC recommended that pregnant women

be given the flu shot without BANNING the use of

Thimerosal-containing vaccines to vaccinate

them?

5. Why have both the vaccine makers and the federal

government FAILED TO ESTABLISH what the SAFE level

for Thimerosal is in a vaccine formulation by

conducting the requisite acute, chronic, multi-

generation reproductive, and long-term low-dose

toxicology studies appropriate for a chemical,

Thimerosal, that is a highly toxic, teratogen

(capable of causing mutations and cancers), and

immunogen and autoimmunogen (capable of disrupting

the immune system and causing it to attack normal

human tissues, respectively) at concentration

levels below 1 ppm?

6. Why does the CDC continue to claim that Thimerosal-

preserved vaccines (containing Thimerosal at the

100-ppm level) are " safe " :

a. WITHOUT the REQUIRED (by 21 CFR 610.15) PROOF

of SAFETY, and

b. WITH PUBLISHED, PEER-REVIEWED STUDIES that

have CLEARLY established HUMAN toxicity at

Thimerosal levels below 0.03 ppm (more than

1,000 times lower than the level in all

Thimerosal-preserved vaccines)?

Hopefully, you will visit the FDA site and

verify the validity of the list of U.S.-

licensed vaccines that contain some level of

Thimerosal for yourself, and then question

why CDC's statement deliberately understated

the number of vaccines that are Thimerosal-

containing as well as neglected to be accurate

in their statement by stating " ... contain

Thimerosal at the preservative level " instead

of the inaccurate " ... contain thimerosal. "

PS: Hopefully, you will also notice that,

in the developing world, Thimerosal-

preserved vaccines are STILL the norm

for those vaccines which used to be

Thimerosal-preserved in 1999 in the US

-- and, UNLIKE the U.S, the incidence of

neurodevelopmental disorders is NOT

declining in those countries!
