Unfortunately, I don't think these agencies would have issued such a statement because some of them were advising pregnant women to get the flu vaccine (most of which does contain thimerosal). The FDA and CDC seem to be actively working against getting thimerosal out of vaccines. Nor should they be given vaccines containing thimersok if they will be nursing the infany.

There was some statement from the AAP some time ago (maybe 2001) stating that pregnant women should not be exposed to mercury.

This one?

Mercury in all of its forms is toxic to the fetus and children and

efforts should be made to reduce exposure to the extent possible to

pregnant women and children as well as the general population.
