Guest guest
Having a custom made dress isn't unusual, I had one...I designed it myself. I agree with everything she said, especially the eye level thing. In the end I had my dream wedding and felt like a princess! I was so tired watching her try on dress after dress, I can't imagine actually doing it too. My mom would have killed me (or vice versa) by then... ~Robyn!! Guest guest
I didn't try on many wedding dresses. In fact, I tried on two, and only because my sister insisted I couldn't try on only one dress. I had my dress picked out before I went to the bridal store to see it. I knew exactly what I wanted as far as cut and material type, and spent hours searching the internet. Once I found it, I knew it was the one and once I put it on I knew it was definitely the one! I had my bridal salon's tailor custom cut the dress around my wheelchair and create a unique bustle (since I opted to keep the length in the back). They did a great job and my dress was perfect! I had quite a non traditional wedding. My husband got me dressed (no one else could lift me and this big huge gown). My husband and I did not walk down the aisle. We did not have a bridal party. We didn't exchange rings. We wrote the entire ceremony from start to finish on our own. We didn't have an introduction and first dance/parent dance. I say -- do whatever you want! The most important part of your wedding day is having you and your significant other together. No one and nothing else truly matters except that you are both understanding and mutually respectful of the decisions you make with one another each and every day. Some of our wedding photos are in the kendranicole photo folder. <3Kendra > > Having a custom made dress isn't unusual, I had one...I designed it myself.
