Guest guest
Hello All, Life just keeps on getting more and more complicated ! Now I've been told that I need to get a sleep study done. So. To Recap: I have SMA-2, and have weak lungs along with asthma. Well, apart from my mysterious 8-yr stomach pain and muscle weakness, I've been diagnosed with depression and anxiety several years ago. For some reason, my hormones are still making me have those intense depression and crying spells for most of the month, so I was told that I probably have PMDD too. Recently I've been prescribed Depo hormone pills, and that has not helped in any way. But I'm almost due for my period, so I'm going to wait and see if the depression disappears again like it did last month. If it doesn't, then I'll try the BC pills I used to take for years or try Yaz again. Apparently, when I'm about to get my period, I feel back to myself again, when Estrogen levels are at the lowest, I was told, and that's unusual. And when the depression goes away, I have more energy and don't feel the need to sleep so much; my fatigue goes down some and the vivid dreams stop. This only lasts for 7-10 days out of the month. So, apparently I suffer from an Upside Down version of PMS! Now, as if I don't have enough to deal with, I may have Sleep Apnea! So, here is my question: Can Sleep Apnea cause or increase depression and anxiety and the horrible daily FATIGUE & migraines? In addition, I sleep a very long time too and still feel exhausted! My parents/granny get frustrated with me, thinking I'm just being lazy and a slug! I hate this! I also have began having very vivid dreams that when I wake up, I'm shaking. Can sleep apnea do all of this? My past blood-work showed high CO2, but the one blood-work done later this April showed my CO2 come down, to almost too low a level. Why? And my platelet count is always high, and my Createnine level is always too low. What the hell??? Help! Anyone? My doctors don't know shit! My GI doctor told me last week that regarding my stomach pain and reoccurring H.Pylori bacteria stomach infection, we're " flying blind, " and then he chuckles! And this is the best GI doctor I've ever seen! The last GI bigshot at a reputable university (teaching) hospital, Rush University, where the MDA clinic is located in downtown Chicago, sent me to the hospital with his fucking treatment! My pulmonologist (pediatric) is at that hospital too, as is my new gynecologist and old neurologist. So far, the gyno is treating me over the phone for now, so he never even met me, but I have to make an appointment soon. I neurologist treats me over the phone too, and I've known him for some 25+ years. I call him my 3rd grandpa, but he doesn't know that! LOL! Either way, so far, none of these docs have helped me. I'm supposed to see the lung doc after I do my sleep test and blood-work here, at my local hospital. Rush University is a long drive from where I live now, so they said I can do the test here, so its more convenient for me. I feel so helpless! I'm so afraid! What am I going to do? Someone.. help me . please. In Hope, Maggie ( " Meg " ) W.
