Guest guest
those are awesome . I wish it would work here but because of the way this place was built it would take major work. My bathroom in/connected to the bedroom has a higher ceiling and an actual door frame type thing to go through. It looks nice, but not very practical for things that this! Guest guest
shame. though i actually have two. one on bedroom ceiling, and another on bathroom ceiling as those two rooms are not next to each other. bit of a pain in the arse as in morning have to go from bed to chair with one ceiling track hoist. then go to bathroom in my wheelchair and then go rom wheelchair to toilet or bath using the second ceiling track hoist. cheers linda 2009/2/16 Joy <j0yeuxx@...> > those are awesome . Guest guest
My mom and I are looking for a lift that can lower me in and out of the bath tub, because I'm to heavy for her to lift me. The Ergo hoist lift looks like something we need, but the only thing is that it looks like it would have to be mounted to the ceiling and because we are renting the house that we're living in, I don't think our landlord would want us to put holes in his ceiling. We really don't know what to do, because there aren't any more options out there for us. »-(¯`v´¯)-»†åMmÌå ÄlÈxÄñÐêR»-(¯`v´¯)-» ________________________________ From: Chantal Thériault <chantaltheriault56@...> Sent: Monday, February 16, 2009 1:08:01 PM Subject: Re: Bath Lift Hi, I did have the aquatec but it was not a good idea for ouf family because my children were using the bath every day so my husband had to remove the aquatec every time I had finished my bath. The solution for us was the ergo-hoist. http://www.ergolab. ca/en/medical/ leve-o-tech1. html Easy to use even if your alone !!!! Have a nice day Chantal SMA 2 mother of Karl SMA 2 > >1c. Guest guest
We have the same kind of laws, for long term (over 6 months) lets. Feel free to get in touch with me off-list, I have been through this a lot over the past 4 years! Guest guest
My mom just informed me that our lease says that any modifications made to the house, will belong to " the house " . So, if we do decide to purchase the hoist lift and mount it up in our bathroom, and a year or 2 later we decide to move to another location we would have to leave it hear, which I think is unfair and stupid. »-(¯`v´¯)-»†åMmÌå ÄlÈxÄñÐêR»-(¯`v´¯)-» ________________________________ From: Alana <alrt@...> Sent: Monday, February 16, 2009 6:03:44 PM Subject: Re: Bath Lift Tammia, See page 6 and share this pamphlet with your landlord: http://www.hud. gov/offices/ adm/hudclips/ forms/files/ 1686.pdf Alana > > > >1c. Guest guest
Thanks Alana and Amy...I'll definitely explain this to my mom. »-(¯`v´¯)-»†åMmÌå ÄlÈxÄñÐêR»-(¯`v´¯)-» ________________________________ From: Alana <alrt@...> Sent: Monday, February 16, 2009 8:47:08 PM Subject: Re: Bath Lift Thank you, Amy. I was just about to add that very information about the purpose of such a clause in a lease...You were more clear than my befuddled brain is up to tonight...lol. Though, I will add that the ADA doesn't cover tenant modifications; only new construction or major remodels. The Fair Housing Act is the relevant law in this situation. The local Legal Aid group or Independent Living Center can refer folks to a qualified advocate, as can most tenants' unions. > > > > > > >1c.
