A man at the party sprayed the lawn and deck floor with Listerine, & gt; and the little demons disappeared. The next year I filled a 4-ounce spray & gt; bottle and used it around my seat whenever I saw mosquitoes. And voila! That & gt; worked as well. It worked at a picnic where we sprayed the area around the & gt; food table, the children's swing area, and the standing water nearby. During & gt; the summer, I don't leave home without it.....Pass it on. & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; OUR FRIEND'S COMMENTS: I tried this on my deck and around all of my doors. & gt; It works - in fact, it killed them instantly. I bought my bottle from Target & gt; and it cost me $1.89. It really doesn't take much, and it is a big bottle, & gt; too; so it is not as expensive to use as the can of Bug-spray you buy that & gt; doesn't last 30 minutes. So, try this. It will last a couple of days. Don't & gt; spray directly on a wood door (like your front door), but spray around the & gt; frame. Spray around the window frames, and even inside the dog house. & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; Now these are Good Mosquitoes!! ! & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt; & gt;

Guest guest
Well, number one, I want to know if its true. And number two, I want other people to know, so they won't waste time and money, and cause others to waste time and money. Urban legends and email chains are a pet & nbsp;peeve of mine. Too bad this one isn't true. I've had some nasty bites to far this season. & nbsp; Dina From: Alana & amp;lt;alrtcomcast (DOT) net & lt;mailto:alrt% 40comcast. net & gt; & amp;gt; Subject: OT - Re: Fwd: Mosquito Control @gro ups.com & lt;mailto:% 40groups. com & gt; Date: Saturday, June 14, 2008, 7:38 PM While Listerine does kill mosquitoes on contact, it's not an effective repellent because it doesn't block mosquitoes' receptors which are attracted to the carbon dioxide we exhale and exude from our skin. Guest guest
I'd rather spend $1.50 to find out for myself than rely on some website. Now if it was instructions on purifying platinum or gold I might verify it, but still I'd probably verify it through traditional material. Like I said, too much time has been wasted on this already. If you want to try it, try it. If you don't, push delete. Guest guest
Doug, I do this as a group moderator to teach members e-mail etiquette, spam prevention, and to prevent inaccurate advice (as benign as it may seem) from being distributed. I didn't intend to offend you. Apologies if I did. Guest guest
Alana, Thank you for being such a great and resourceful moderator. I've been so busy w/my friends and sisters wedding and I apologize to the other mods and the group for neglecting my duties. I too think it is important to know if an email is an urban legend or not. Who wants to give incorrect advice? I just want to remind people that this group's primary focus is SMA and disability issues. Please label off topic posts w/OT. Thanks to everyone who looked this up.
