Oprah is, however, on the CDC's "radar screen". They hope to work to get her interested in giving a "face" to influenza disease. This is actually mentioned on page 30, in the 2006 National Influenza Vaccine Summit's Minutes of Meeting, January 24-25, 2006. (Maybe they're already working on her.) I'll provide the link below. Aasa [PDF] 2006 National Influenza Vaccine Summit File Format: PDF/Adobe Acrobat - View as HTMLorganizations (AAP and ACIP). Issue 2. CDC’s tiering recommendations (Short-term). Recommendations:. 1. The tiering structure should be used for vaccine ...www.ama-assn.org/ama1/ pub/upload/mm/36/summit_minutes.pdf - Similar pages egran03 <egran03@...> wrote: Autism, vaccines and autistic American children may or may not be on

Oprah's radar screen of causes she'll devote air time to. I believe there is a different vaccine in-road to make with her that may get more immediate attention.A group of children that is very high on her priority list is the millions of orphaned children in Africa due to AIDs. I saw one program devoted entirely to this cause and Oprah even stated that she believes that one reason she has not had any children is so that she can focus her time, energy, talents and attention to the plight of these children.I wonder if Oprah knows about the controversial but extremely compelling theory of the origin of AIDs put forth by journalist Hooper. His theory is that the oral polio vaccine used in Africa in the 1950's is responsible for this pandemic. You can read more about this at www.aidsorigins.com.An excerpt from Hooper's home page follows:"By the end of 2004

AIDS will have killed nearly 30 million people, making it the worst outbreak of infectious disease in recorded history. The closest animal relative to HIV-1 (the AIDS virus) is a simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV) found in the common chimpanzee . There are many SIVs in nature, but they are only naturally found in African primates. For several years now, there have been only two really viable theories about how this chimp virus might have arrived in humans, and how the AIDS pandemic began. One theory, the "cut hunter" or "bushmeat" theory, has it that AIDS got started after an African hunter got infected with chimpanzee SIV while cutting up a chimp for the pot. This theory is non-controversial, but it has many problems and flaws. Most particularly, it fails to explain the timing and location of the earliest AIDS cases. The second theory, the "oral polio vaccine" or "OPV" theory, has it that

AIDS began after an experimental OPV that had been cultured in chimpanzee cells was given to nearly a million Africans from the Congo (DRC), Burundi and Rwanda in the latter half of the 1950s. This hypothesis is highly controversial, and is rejected by many medical scientists, (including those who prepared and administered the vaccine). There is concerted opposition to the theory from those who publish and write in Nature and Science, the world's two leading scientific journals. However, despite the fact that many of the aforesaid scientists deny it, this is the theory that is supported by most of the available historical and scientific evidence.I believe that the OPV theory explains how AIDS emerged, with such devastating effect, in Man. You will find much of the information that supports this view (as well as much of that which opposes it) on this web-site.Ed Hooper, May

2004"

If Oprah's good friend asked, I'm sure she would do a show on

autism. But unfortunately...

Is Scientology preventing Travolta from son's autism treatment?

New York: They have long been staunch supporters of Scientology, but

medical experts are worrying that the religion is preventing star

couple Travolta and Preston from acknowledging that their

14-year old son is suffering from autism.

Mark Ebner, in an article, claims that Scientology and its teachings

are preventing the couple not only from publicly admitting that

their son Jett is suffering from autism, but is also stopping them

from providing him the adequate medical care required.

" The couple cannot even publicly admit that their son is afflicted

with a neurological disorder, lest – according to the

incontrovertible doctrine of Scientology founder L Ron Hubbard – he

be labeled a " degraded being " that brought his affliction onto

himself.... Scientology will not even recognize the disability, let

alone the myriad therapies for treating it, "

HollywoodInterrupted.com quoted him, as stating.

The couple has always insisted that Jett is suffering from Kawasaki

Syndrome-related " environmental toxins, " specifically carpet

cleaning chemicals.

Oprah did do a show once with

Preston and the dangers of the toxins in cleaning products. She talked

extensively about how her son almost died from over cleaning their carpet. Where

is the information coming from that he has Autism?? Wouldn’t a chemical processing

issue all relate to the same thing??-

Well, he has autism. Since they are scientologists, they can't call it that

so they call it kawasaki's syndrome. I know people who's kids go to the

same therapy center as Jett. And Preston has been to many autism

events. The travolta's have allowed their name to be used at numerous

autism events as well.

Re: A Different Vaccine In-Road with Oprah

I had heard from someone I know from Isleboro, Maine (Where Travolta

has a vacation home)that their son has Autism like symptoms.

Thanks Holly for posting this. I was going to say the same thing.

That it is autism and they just don't call it autism.

So it's nice the Travolta's allow their name to be used for autism

events, but it would help if they acknowledged their own child's

autism.

Yeah, if said the word Oprah would do a show about autism. I

could only imagine the thousands and thousands of letters she has

received over the years on the subject.

As for Oprah, did you happen to watch South Park last night?

Hi, no, I didn't get to watch the show last nite but it's a favorite of mine

when I am feeling like an 8yo. Lol

We've tried to pitch the autism show to Oprah for years. When my son was

dxd, I was good friends with a girl who's sister was one of the producers

for Oprah and I know she put autism on the table more than once and was

told, no. never. Too depressing.

The only way to get Oprah to do a show is to get thousands of people

to call & email her. She has such a large audience base it would take

a profound campaign to get her to do a show, don't know if she would

be worth the time or effort, there's no guarantee she would have a

show that would do the autism issue justice, then what would we do?

Yeah, I don't buy that.

Child rapists: good topic;

but autism: too depressing.

I told you it was out there.

Not being an Oprah (O-so full of myself) fan I loved how they

portrayed her. ;)

I think the smallpox eradication program is a likely source too. They reused the needles. egran03 <egran03@...> wrote: Autism, vaccines and autistic American children may or may not be on Oprah's radar screen of causes she'll devote air time to. I believe there is a different vaccine in-road to make with her that may get more immediate attention.A group of children that is very high on her priority list is the millions of orphaned children in Africa due to AIDs. I saw one program devoted entirely to this cause and Oprah even stated that she believes that one reason she has not had any children is so that she can focus her time, energy, talents and attention to the plight of these children.I wonder if Oprah knows about the controversial but extremely compelling theory

of the origin of AIDs put forth by journalist Hooper. His theory is that the oral polio vaccine used in Africa in the 1950's is responsible for this pandemic. You can read more about this at www.aidsorigins.com.An excerpt from Hooper's home page follows:"By the end of 2004 AIDS will have killed nearly 30 million people, making it the worst outbreak of infectious disease in recorded history. One theory, the "cut hunter" or "bushmeat" theory, has it that AIDS got started after an African hunter

got infected with chimpanzee SIV while cutting up a chimp for the pot. This theory is non-controversial, but it has many problems and flaws. Most particularly, it fails to explain the timing and location of the earliest AIDS cases. The second theory, the "oral polio vaccine" or "OPV" theory, has it that AIDS began after an experimental OPV that had been cultured in chimpanzee cells was given to nearly a million Africans from the Congo (DRC), Burundi and Rwanda in the latter half of the 1950s. This hypothesis is highly controversial, and is rejected by many medical scientists, (including those who prepared and administered the vaccine). There is concerted opposition to the theory from those who publish and write in Nature and Science, the world's two leading scientific journals. However, despite the fact that many of the aforesaid scientists deny it, this is the theory that is supported by most of the available

historical and scientific evidence.I believe that the OPV theory explains how AIDS emerged, with such devastating effect, in Man. You will find much of the information that supports this view (as well as much of that which opposes it) on this web-site.Ed Hooper, May 2004"
