KC Mini Conference Details

Hello everyone! The information for the Kansas City " mini " conference is as

follows:

We will provide local directions from the hotel to events closer to the

gathering. Please let us know when you book your room so we can keep a head

count for buying food for the BBQ and buying tickets for the farmstead. If

anyone is planning to come in on Thursday, please let us know and maybe we can

just hang out at one of our houses.

Dates: Friday, June 27th to Sunday, June 29th, 2008

Hotel Information: We have booked a " block " of rooms under " SMA Gathering " for

$69.00/ night. They will have mini fridges in them and the hotel also has a

pool.

Itinerary:

Friday, June 27th

BBQ at ee Mission Park Shelter #8

7900 Renner Rd

ee, KS

3 pm - 10 pm

**This shelter overlooks the main lake, has seating for 200 people, 3 grills,

accessible drinking fountain, path to shelter is accessible, electricity,

accessible restroom, and a playground.

**We will grill out hotdogs and hamburgers with chips and pop, water, or

whatever anyone cares to bring.

Saturday, June 28th

AM- Deanna ROse Farmstead

138th and Switzer

10 am - ??? (We can meet as early as 9 am- we can base it on the heat)

**Free admission, animals, and playgrounds

**We have a corral reserved (basically a picnic area with seating)

**We have tickets for $1.00 each for fishing, mining, wagon rides, pony rides,

and goat feeding.

**There is a concession stand for lunch unless we decide to do something else

PM- Some families have shown interest in the Crayola Cafe at Crown Center, there

is also a restaurant called Fritz's Railroad Restaurant where trains deliver

your food. Maybe a movie?

Sunday, June 29th

**We figured we could maybe meet and swim at the pool or hang out as we were not

sure what time families were planning to leave for home. Check-out is at noon.

If some are interested in planning a morning event, let us know and we can try

to get something together.
