When my son was less than a week old he got pink eye and the drops I used

had thimerosal in them. People don't believe me when I tell them. I'm glad

I saved the bottle.

You kept the bottle? I'm going to call OSHA on you! :-)

Whatever you do, DON'T FLUSH THOSE EYEDROPS DOWN THE TOILET!!!

-------------------------------------------------------------

While I'm at it, here's a good one. All those countless Rhogam shots I

had with my three sons between '96 and '01 - just found out I didn't

even need them because my husband is RH- too. One little blood test on

him 10 years ago would have cost a fraction of what those shots have

cost us (in many ways...) Wish I had been more aware of what was going

on :(

Good news is, our son is doing great since we started biomed!

We have started studies designed to find Immune Response genes (their gene products are easy to identify) and the gene for defective toxic heavy metal excretion (hard to identify)

If we find one locus closely linked to the gene for impaired toxic metal excretion,

this can be tested for using cord blood at birth, and infants with the closely linked gene-about 10-15 % of the population will surely not be given vaccines containing mercury.

I remember that !

Bottom line – it is a crap load

easier to deal with DROPS IN THE EAR then a FRIGGEN SHOT IN THE BLOOD STREAM.

Both suck but lets guess which one is

worse!

FYI: I get about 3 – 4 emails a

year with the same story – ped prescribed thimerosal containing eye/ear

drops. Holy cow. I cannot believe that crap is still on the market.

They hypocracy of the medical community

about don’t eat the tuna, and don’t flush any medications down the

toilet but shots with the crap is ok (‘specially for a baby with a

permeable Blood Brain Barrier) just kills me…

Ya ya, preaching to the choir

My CVS Saline solution says in BOLD RED LETTERS: " THIMEROSAL FREE! "

right on the bottle, as part of the advertising. I used contact

solutions for 15 years prior to having my kids.....

In EOH DAvid Kirby says it's still in some hemmorhoid treatments, so

maybe my bumper sticker " Mercury Doesn't Belong In Uranus " works

after all???

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. The pediatrician never mentioned " mercury "

or " thimerosal, " so needless to say there was never a red blood cell

test done on my affected son. She's the same pediatrician that gave

him DTaP, Hib, and MMR at 18 months, followed by a course of

Amoxycillin for an ear infection that she discovered at that

wellcheck. Less than two weeks later, I took him back for a sick

visit, complaining that he had excessive drooling, fussiness and not

sleeping well. Think he was mercury poisoned?

I appreciate your reply, and all the other informative things you add

to this message board.

Take care!

Lynn

How about " If you support thimerosal, you can stick it up uranus. "
