Guest guest
I went with 2 other moms and their kids to have scopes done. One kid had H-pylori, gastric ulcers and pre-cancerous esophageal reflux issues. The next kid had colitis and years worth of pinworms living in the impacted chunk of stool in his gut. The third kid had both upper and lower problems and tons of gut damage. All of these things were treatable and the kids are all doing better since then. There is no viable treatment for live measles virus yet so we don't worry about it. We deal with what we can. results from a scoping? are there any testimonials about important info learned from a scoping? Is there an e-group w/ an archives? I'm not sure if EOH has any place to go read on what good is having a scope done. Are there any real people who have had measles virus killed w/ treatment? Guest guest
Well, I just learned from Kenny's scope results last month that he is very close to developing Barrett's Esophagus, which is a cancerous condition caused by reflux. He's been on reflux meds for over 10 years, and we thought they were doing the trick. Had he not been scoped, we would not have known. Now I have an opportunity to treat him and prevent this from becoming VERY serious. Dr. Krigsman is going to scope him again in July to see if there is any improvement from the treatment he is now on. s persistentC@... Guest guest
You are being very shortsighted about the benefits of the procedure. The pinworm were living in the chunk, not coming out in stool. And the kid with H-pylori had a buttload of other problems. If you don't want to scope your kid, then don't. personally I believe it's a great diagnostic tool. It certainly was worth it for my kid. I am starting to think you joined this group just to pick at everyone. If that's the case, let me know and I will just set you to autodelete now before it gets ugly. results from a scoping? > > are there any testimonials about important info learned from a > scoping? Guest guest
-Sorry if you are disturbed by bio-medical interventions. I actually feel sorry these things were not already taken care of prior to scope as they could have been.Scope can be a great tool, but these issues could have been treated earlier.Unfortunate for the kids. They are paying the price for everything that has been done to them.Do you think it is wrong of me to disclose bio-med interventions that are non invasive? I always thought that the list was a tool for sharing bio-med info., political info, and helping the kids. if this is not what it is about please let me know. Guest guest
I don't think the purpose of this list is for sharing biomedical information. You might want to join ABMD for that. There is another good group called autism-immune which has some good discussions as well. Here's what Lenny put in the group's description ... This is Evidence of Harm, the discussion list. The purpose is to track and discuss the progress of events as told by Kirby in his book of the same name. Loosely, we will try to pick up on events since the end of the book's time line November of 2004. Of keen interest to participants are the issues of government public health negligence and corruption and the various political efforts by parents to end the spectrum of epidemics that is being revealed as mercury poisoning, especially autism. It will also track the progress of the book itself and relevant goings-on by it's author. This list is sponsored by the Schafer Autism Report as a community service and is independent of Kirby or the book publisher, or any commercial interests. The focus of this group is not vaccines, although it is a core element in these events. The focus is on the good guys, the bad guys, what they're up to, who've they hurt, who they saved and what they might do next. Vaccines don't hurt people, to borrow a slogan, people hurt people. Red herring anti-vaccine campaigners are not warmly welcomed. There is only one rule of behavior: be polite, not rude to your neighbors. Everyone can post anything they want to this list as long as they are not rude in doing so. Crossposting, unauthorized action alerts, and off-topic political announcements are rude and therefore prohibited. s persistentC@... Guest guest
Thank you for posting the group's purpose. I'm relatively new to the list and it was good to read it. I've saved and highlighted an excerpt below because there are a few posters with poor impulse control that need the reminder. I'm shocked by the name calling, nitpicking, and outright bullying that has been going on. Rude behavior like that causes people to unsubscribe or discourages them from posting because they don't want to be treated like that. persistentC <persistentC@...> wrote: There is only one rule of behavior: be polite, not rude to your neighbors. Guest guest
Cheri, thanks for your email to me. Let me clarify, Diane is not a mother, at least not the mother of a child with autism. She's one of the main lobbyists for wanting kids to get thimerosal in vaccines. She even created a powerpoint presentation telling other lobbyists how to twist the issue of whether or not thimerosal is a safe product so that as many kids can get it as possible. After reading her powerpoint presentation that explained they are to keep the message as far from science as possible and used the term " Kiss " when talking to representatives, she then referenced this board as a place to learn what those who are concerned with the growing body of evidence showing the danger of ethylmercury. Again, it wasn't to learn more about the dangers, discuss the best way to protect kids, it was so the lobbyists and pro-poisoning of kids can try to twist our concerns so they can make a buck. You didn't make me feel that you were talking about me, though it would have been okay if you were. As I emailed Lenny, I was sorry I posted it, I just didn't have Ms. Diane's direct email to share my thoughts and invitation on a more personal level. I knew it wasn't appropriate for me and wanted to apologize to my fellow posters. Debi > > Thank you for posting the group's purpose. I'm relatively new to the list and it was good to read it. Guest guest
I was wondering if your son showed any symptoms that prompted you to have him scoped again? I ask this because my son who is 16 has been scoped three times , the first time they found h-pylori (spl) and what they called rings of scarring on his esophagus they treated the h-pylori and he's been on nexium for at least eight years. One of the other times he was scoped they found small bumps at the bottom of the esophagus and they weren't quite sure what they were but that they sometimes saw them in kids with persistent viral infections. I wanted them to check for live measles virus but they wouldn't. My son also has down syndrome and so in the past it's always been a chore to get a diagnosis other then he has down syndrome even though he was diagnosed over 10 years ago with autism. We recently started seeing a DAN doctor and we think he's wonderful, my son, Albert or Albie as we love to call him is doing much better. Guest guest
Kenny had been scoped 4 times previously by doctors who didn't know what they were looking for. The reasons he was scoped: 1) Failure to thrive (no weight gain for 2 years, he was at 62.5 lbs and holding even though he was 12 years old) 2) Obvious abdominal pain, sometimes just lying down on the floor and crying, or rubbing on his tummy 3) Explosive diarrhea several times a day 4) History of reflux 5) Lab results from tests that Dr. Krigsman had ordered s persistentC@... Guest guest
Hello, I wonder if doing the Intestimal Permeability test from Great Smokies Lab would serve the same purpose as scoping - and much less intrusive - it is urine test though it does involve taking a special drink and then collecting urine for the following six hours.
