Guest guest
<<<<<And I cut holes under the arms of my dressier tops and all my jackets so my seatbelt can go through and be hidden underneath.>>>>>>>>> Do you have someone stitch them so that the fabric doesn't fray? We usually try to just pull h's shirt over her seat belt, but she also hasn't expressed much concern about it showing. She is expressing irritation with trying to find cool clothes that fit right, so I'm loving these conversations. Right now our biggest debate is over make-up and hair. I said that she could start wearing a little makeup to school when she started Jr. High (7th grade) because some of her friends started last year (5th grade) and I didn't find that appropriate. Well, now that's coming up quickly and I'm absolutely aware that she doesn't think I'm *cool* enough to assist with hair and makeup. The best idea I have right now is to find a responsible high school student and pay $100/month for her to come in the mornings and help h with the girly primping stuff after her toileting/dressing is done. Any opinions about this? Is it going to far to pay someone to help with these things? Love and Hugs Jeni And I cut holes under the arms of my dressier tops and all my jackets so my seatbelt can go through and be hidden underneath. Guest guest
So it's not going too far then? The funny thing is that I could do the EXACT same thing as someone younger and it wouldn't be cool if I did it. I get it though. I can't imagine NOT being horrified when I was 12 if my Mom wanted to do something to my hair. She was just so uncool *LOL* I think ultimately it would help me, too. I don't really have the extra time it's going to take every morning to flat iron and otherwise style her hair and apply even a little bit of makeup. Having someone come in and help lets h feel less dependant on me and more " in style " AND allows us to streamline the morning routine. I just don't want to be overindulgant either!
